In January 2014 I had breast augmentation using 339 moderate plus silicone implants. I poured over pictures and reviews prior to surgery and really thought I had spent plenty of time deciding what size would be right for me. However, within 2 weeks of surgery I knew I had gone too big. My bra size had increased from a 32/34 A to a 32 DD. I did not look like my previous self, could not get used to my new look, and was miserable. I am 5'8", weigh 128 pounds, and have a thin athletic build. Three months later I underwent revision surgery replacing the 339 implants with 270 moderate profile silicone implants. I am so much happier with the smaller size. I now wear a 32/34 C/D bra. I look like my previous self just a little more enhanced. This was the look I was going for in the first place. However, until I actually had the implants inserted it was impossible to know what they would really look like on me. I think the biggest mistake I made was looking at so many pictures of pre- and post-breast augmentation. I was of the thinking these pictures would help me choose my size. However, I realized that how I look in clothes was much more important to me than how I looked naked. When I look at myself in the mirror now, I don't look like the large breasted women we are used to seeing in movies. I look proportionate and natural, and I love the way I look in clothes. I would highly recommend that anyone that is considering going smaller to do it! The recovery from this surgery is quite easy. I was awake during the surgery, could drive myself home, and really had no pain after surgery.
