hi. I am 2 days post mini tummy tuck with tumescent liposculpture to abdomen, flanks, upper back, inner and out thighs and knee together with fat transfer to breast.

Im feeling fairly good. My surgeon injected my TT and breast site with plenty of anaesetic but so far so good. I have a drain and am wearing compression garments. Oddly the most pain is from some of the lipo sites.
Rest up, drink plenty of water and prune juice. Make up some vegetable and chicken soup.. I wish you well x

Glad to hear you are doing good!!!! Think the long term anestesia works wonders. I was never in pain. Just bothered also by the lipo areas and sensitive. I also had colace twice a day and day 2 when to the restroom no problem. I wish a speedy recovery. I’m very happy so far ;)

Hi labelleza12. I have scheduled my mini tummy tuck for January 10th. I am getting a little nervous that I am making the correct decision, but it is something that I have wanted for over 10 years. How was your recovery? Can you give me some insight on how that was. My PS said that the skin on my upper abdomen is not loose, so to pull it tight, it is going to be really stretched, so he was going to have me walk hunched over for the first few days. I had two c sections as well, and they sever the muscle to do those, and that recovery wasn't bad at all, so Im thinking this will be a breeze! ??

Hi Rcis719, It is very normal to feel that way. It’s actually funny that when I had it, that day before surgery at the hospital I was truly having second thoughts. I seriously thought of waking away even loosing the money but I stayed and I’m so happy. My recovery was way too easy. Specially after everything I read here! My PS said the same. I did not have enough laxity to pull the skin down and make a new BB. They tell you to walk hunched over and sleep in a semi-seated position for few days. I felt so good that was able to walk straight by day 4 and started sleeping horizontally by day 5. I do think my fast recovery had to do with the 2 c-sections. I’m also young and I work out a lot so in general I’m in a good health. I don’t smoke at all (never have) and for the most part, really healthy habits. I didn’t have any anesthesia side effect. No headaches, no vomiting and very mild nausea day 1. No need for pain killers and the next day I started ibuprofen around the clock. I didn’t have any spasm either so my experience had been great! Tomorrow it will be 3 weeks. I’m still sore specially around the incision and the end of the day. I wake up pretty flat. My next appointment is Tuesday and so far, very excited to see the final result after all the swelling is gone. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery!!!! Keep me posted ;)

I certainly will, and thank you for sharing your experience! Please keep up the updates; I would love to know how long it was before all the swelling and bruising went away (Im suppose to be taking a trip to Costa Rica 9 weeks after my surgery - hoping all is healed by then), as well as when you realistically returned to exercise. Thank you again!

Hey, how did it go? I'm considering a mini TT with Dr. Snider as well.

Oops, I didn't see the follow up pics below. I'm on the fence on this. I don't really want the long scar for my little pooch. :/

I am ok with it my diastasis was really bad and I loved everything he did. I’m flat now and you can see a six pack peeking! also I had 2 csections so he actually made the scar pretty and lower. yes it is longer but no one except my hubby and I see it and I’m happy with all the other benefits ;) very personal decision however, he is amazing!

Why are you wasting your money and getting an ugly scar. You just need to do some planks. I'm so serious!
November 15, 2017
Well.... I had 2 c-sections so I already have an ugly scar. Also, I have diastasis and a hernia and that doesn’t get fixed with planking it actually can make it worse. I have done everything and the pooch doesn’t go away. Unfortunately the only way to fix diastasis is with surgery

I hear you, Labelleza12! I'm also getting a mini tt this January to repair diastasis and an umbillical hernia. Unfortunately mine cannot be resolved with exercise, either. I am 5'4" and 124 lbs. I absolutely understand why you want these issues repaired. Good luck with your surgery!!!!

It’s 4:20am. Surgery was yesterday at 11:30am. I felt fantastic all day and night. I’m awake because I woke up every 3h to pee. Aside from that minor discomfort where they sew the muscle but overall feel great. No need from pain killers aside from what they gave me at the hospital. If you can talk to your doctor about exparel get it! I want to think that’s why I am in no pain at all.
Pics to come!

What is exparel?

Hi deedee3003 EXPAREL is a long term analgesic drug that provides significant long-lasting pain control while reducing opioid use across various procedures for postsurgical analgesia. My doctor doesn’t use it regularly but I asked him about it and he said he would happily use it if I wanted. I am not sure that’s why I had no pain at all or if having 2 c-sections before but I have had no pain at all and I am so happy and thankful for that since I don’t tolerate opioid based drugs. Hope this helps!
