High-support bra recommendations
I added a photo update for kicks, but not much to report! One side is looking larger than the other rn just bc one side has started to drop already. My sutures are no longer hurting, but I feel some tightness on my right side incision sometimes, esp when I wake up in the morning, it almost feels stiff... There are certain areas of my breasts that still feel numb (including my right nipple atm), but some of that has already started to slowly resolve, so I am trying not to be too worried about it! That can take up to 6-12 months to fully heal.
I go in for my three-week check-up on April 9th.
That being said I am mostly out of the compression/surgical bra, but have been wearing my surgical bra bc it has been hard to find bras that fit my ribcage and feel supportive enough (also, if they are too loose around my ribs they ride up and rub my sutures which I don't like). I feel like my surgical bra has become my security blanket lol...
However, the Underarmer ones (from their site and Amazon) have been the best so far! My doctor stressed that as the breast pocket is healing, I don't want them bouncing around so I have definitely taken this seriously! For reference, I ordered a 32C.
Anyway, I know this is not a full update, but for anyone who is curious, here is the list of high-support bras that my doctor recommended! I know you can find some cheaper ones on Amazon or Target, but I honestly did not want to risk it, esp bc I have a smaller rib cage and high support was important!

Two weeks post-op update
I am currently two weeks post op.
My sutures have surgical glue, which will take 4-6 weeks to come off. It feels tight at times bc of the glue, but they are healing well, and I have no pain anymore. I have been using red light on them every night, and honestly, I SWEAR BY THIS and truly feel it has helped speed the healing of my sutures.
I am back to work (since day 6) and driving (carefully!!). I would say I truly feel significantly better and better every day. I am still wearing my compression bra bc it is hard for me to find a post surgical bra that is supportive enough and fits my ribcage... most are too big around my ribs.
Also, no more cone boobs! They seem to already be dropping and loosening up, and will continue to do so over the next 3-6 months. I think I will come out to be a small/moderate 32C. Hard to know exactly what they will look like right now, since from everything I read, it is TRULY a waiting game as they drop and fluff.
I feel really happy with the proportional size and how natural they look already :).

Mini Breast Augmentation - Low Profile 200cc Motiva Ergonomix
For reference, I am 29 y/o, 115lbs and 5'3". No kids. I was told I was not a good candidate for fat transfer.
When I was researching, I did not see a lot of representation for a small/moderate breast augmentation, so I wanted to post on here... My goals were to have perky but proportional breasts. I didn't want to go big. I started with a full A++ /small B cup and wanted a full B or small C. I also chose Motiva Ergonomix for its natural shape and feel.
The doctor chose 205cc low profile on one side and 230cc low profile on the other side (one breast was smaller than the other and I had a larger chest cavity on my right side, hence the larger cc on one side). All under the muscle.
I stopped using the tramadol (was prescribed that and oxy) after 24hrs out of my breast augmentation surgery (except at nights until day 5). I mostly just took Tylenol every 4-5 hours bc I heard oxy can slow down healing. I was definitely very sore in the chest area, which is to be expected. Esp when bc my chest muscles are adjusting to the implant and they also strap your arms down for the two hour surgery. I actually found that the sides of my ribcage were really sore and painful after too - apparently a lot of our breast nerves extend back there?
But other than that the recovery has been better than I expected. However, that will be different for anyone! My mom was helping me recover and I REALLY needed her those first 3 days. I think my pain tolerance is on the higher end too. I will say, I was soo bloated for 3-4 days after surgery and was constipated for like 3 days. Had to really pile on the colace at one point haha...
Anyway, I am wearing a surgical bra 24/7 atm. I know that some doctors have you do some arm movements right off the bat, but my doc said that while the sutures heal, it is best not to move my arms too much for 3 weeks.
When I first took the surgical bra off at my 3 day post op my boobs were def doing the "pointy boob" thing that you hear about after breast surgery. That has gone down a lot already, and I definitely just keep telling myself to "trust the process." I have thoughts creep in questioning if I should have gone bigger but I quickly push them out. After weeks of starting at boobs you almost get obsessive and desensitized to them! I really had to refocus on my goals for myself and my body :)...
Stay tuned!
Some recs:
- I took Arnica, vitamin C and fish oil the weeks before and week after surgery. Arnica just the week before and week after. Continuing to take supplements.
- using red light on the sutures after my 3 day post-op visit (that was the first time they took the bandages off).
- hydrate hydrate hydrate in the weeks before and after
- I did a drip IV the weekend before to make sure I was hydrated and such for surgery
- I did a big Trader Joe's run and got a bunch of frozen healthy premade meals and frozen veggies.
If I think of anything else I found helpful, I will post it!
