I just did the Kybella procedure, as normally when I am not overweight I do not have a double chin, however with my age, I can definitely see the changes in my skin. I am an Asian 44 year old mother of 2. I recently visited a local medspa for Miradry 3 weeks ago and saw the pictures for Kybella. Well, they normall charge $1200 a treatment and we're offering it half off. . . . Long story short I love the Miradry- although I will probably have to do a 2nd treatment, but have one more week to know for sure. The doctor did explain that they had not had to do a 2nd one for but 1 patient? And it takes at least a full month to know for sure the extent of how well it works. But that it is another review!

I went in and did get the numbing treatment, I was told that since I am overweight 3 treatments for me may be necessary. It's a topical numbing gel that is applied and you wait maybe 30 minutes? They took various pictures of different angles. (I forgot to do that!) So I will look and see if I have any that would show the difference pre-kybella. I received maybe 4 injections. Honestly I wasn't counting- I hate needles, and it is a bit uncomfortable but not unbearable. Then it was done! I received a head strap and a ice pack and went home. I did take 600 mg of Advil when I went home and continuously iced. I did not really feel burning but it did swell and was very tender. Continued the next day with ice and sometimes the headstrap ( that was tight and more bothersome (maybe my head was too large for the strap). I did not go out right after and the next day. I vaguely iced on night 2, tender to the touch but otherwise fine ( if you don't look at me!) . I am now at the end of day 3 and the swelling is worse than before! I might add little-not noticeable bruising at all. I have the "bullfrog" neck, which I hope goes down soon. But otherwise just slight tender to touch. The doctor mentioned that clients have said that it will start to feel like gel (like the ice pack). Time will Tell. I did not ask how many units were used. I will ask next week, when I get my 3rd spectra facial.

I have been reading other reviews, so as suggested by a previous kybella patient, I have stopped taking any Advil and icing in hopes that it will speed up the process and making sure to drink lots of water. The neck strap is very uncomfortable! Other than swelling no side effects thus far. Not a flattering picture! This is the end of day 3!

Dr. Misle, and her team are professional and very kind. I did not feel upsaled, thus far each procedure wait time did take a little longer than expected, but was not a problem for me. So please plan accordingly if you make an appointment. In addition, I did have a last minute appointment delay for the last visit and they were able to accommodate me. I have had 3 different procedures done in a short amount of time. I would definitely recommend her and her staff, but be sure to do your research first so you can ask any questions prior as with any doctor.
