It's been quite a ride over the past 7 weeks. Things get better every day. My nipples are still extreamly tender. I have to hold the girls when driving on bumpy roads. I started wearing a cami under my sports bra to keep my nipples from rubbing on the bra around week 4. It also gives me just a little more support. Hooking my bra on the next hooks was just a bit to much. I've been able to sleep on my sides so long as I don't lean to far forward. It helps to have pillows behind me to lean on. I still get the shooting/pinching/burning pains, but they are getting less and less. I had a few headaches and backaches when I went back to work--mostly because I had to sit up and was hunching over to protect myself. Most of the back/shoulder pain I had prior to surgery is pretty much gone. My doctor has replaced the tape on the incisions at every appointment. The doc had said it was ok if they came off on their own. The tape was coming off from the underside of my left one, so I took it off and now have pics of the incision.

Almost 3 weeks post op and I am still very sore. I have to hold my girls if going up/down stairs to quickly. Oh, and bumpy roads!! My sides are still swollen and hard--right side more than left. Sleeping is still a challange at times. I know this will all improve with time--I just wish it would hurry up! :)))

Hello, Thank you to everyone that thought about me and or said a prayer. Surgery went pretty good. The over night nurse wasn't comfortable with the doctors pain directions and changed me IV pain meds to vicoden--with my permission of course(a person in pain, in the middle of the night). The pills didn't help near as good. In the morning I told her what had happened and she didn't understand why, and started in with the IV pain medicine. The doctor came in around 11:00, cut off the bandage, put me in the sports bra and said I could go home after lunch. He also gave me a new script for percocet. I've been taking it super easy. Throwing once or twice a day has been normal for me. Naps all day long, I walk with my shoulders hunched up so my upper arms aren't weighing against the sides of my breast. I'm starting to feel tingles. That's a good sign of healing. I dread when the itching starts. Good luck to every once yet to have the surgery!!!!

My PS has been in my area for more than 15 years. I work with many, many women, so if there was anything "not good" about him I would have heard. :~)) I am totally comfortable with my doctor. The receptionist and nurses are very helpful with any and all questions.
