This is evening 2 after my treatment. I’m still extremely red and itchy. I stayed home from work today due to the raw meat look. The aesthetician who did the treatment said I would be pink today but there is really no difference than when I left yesterday. She said she was aggressive with the treatment for me acne scars. She said today would be the worst and then should get better. I’ve been using the calming cream 3x today. Can anyone share if this is normal? She also said once I heal I will be very happy with the results.

I want this done so bad. Any idea the needle length?

The needle length will be determined by the aesthetician or physician doing your treatment. It will vary depending on your skin condition and the goals you are trying to achieve (i.e. if you have scars or wrinkles and you are trying to achieve a smoother appearance, etc.).

I know all too well the redness, try aquanil hydrocortisone lotion, it is absolutely amazing!! You will see a major difference in the red and dryness. It will be red for a few days, then your skin will peel. Don’t touch it tho, let it come off itself. I say this whole ordeal is rather ugly until about day 5, at least in my experience. It worked amazing on my scars but unfortunately I other issues. Keep hydrated and hydrate your skin with the hydrocortisone lotion and quality products and you’ll be amazing in the next couple weeks!!

thank you so much for the positive feedback RM01023. looking much better tonight and it’s day 4. I will post pics tomorrow. she filed the needle to 2 for my cheeks and chin. she was aggressive due to my scarring. The first 3 days were rough going. I definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. the aesthetician recommends 2 or 3 more treatments. now that I know what I’m in for I will try to schedule on a Friday afternoon. thank you for the hydrocortisone advice. I will be getting some ASAP. I’m using skin fuse calming lotion now.

Hello, you may want to consider doing microneedling w/ prp. It drastically reduces healing time.

Day 3. I’m peeling quite a bit. But the redness has calmed down significantly. My face still feels tight and dry. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Stay hydrated and don’t use any actives on your skin while you are healing.

Day 5 was when I started feeling normal. Not the most comfortable procedure as I thought it was going to be... Day 3 the evening was tough for me. I used an ice pack. very cooling

I had it done on 6/29 and was surprised how bad my face looked afterwards. Not just red but splotches that look like I was hit with acid or something strong. Not been 24 hrs yet and then was told to apply lotions and an overnight serum. So will see but did not expect this as I heard all of those comments about little or no downtime. Would not go out in public today except for an emergency.

Took me 7 days to recover and they said only 3 days.

I’m on day 6 from my second treatment and I discussed needle length etc and the treatment has already given me amazing results! The first time was disastrous!! I am now more prepared and know what to expect. I got Aquqnil HC lotion and cleanser for the red, raw feeling and it is amazing! I do not apply anything but prp and hydraulic acid for the first day. Then in the morning after I use my ampules and aquanil. I’m red for about 5 days. Day 3-4 skin peels. Not pretty but what is happening underneath is amazing! I actually posted a bad review because my first treatment was not good, I had scarring issues due to needle length, my skin was chemically burned from using the wrong products and too soon so the 2nd treatment, I was freaked out! I was scared about the 2nd time but I’m glad I did it so far. The products I used this time ( aquanil) have changed my life and my skin! It’s amazing what this treatment can do when you have an experienced person doing it and the right products! I’m looking forward now to my 3rd treatment now, I literally turned back 5 years on my face!!

Hi. What length should the needles be?
