Am I crazy?!

I know this sounds crazy but I saw a dermatologist who was also recommended by dr Lim and has worked with him (he is the head consultant for a major hospital treating burns etc), and he recommended... microneedling!! However it is a completely different medical graded stamp similar to wht dr Lim uses as well. He said they make passes over the face according to regulations. My partner is also a doctor and thinks I should go with this guy. Am I crazy for considering treatment? The thought of a laser which can cut metal going on my face actually scares me.

Microneedling Beware!!

It is 2.5 years since I had microneedling. I should have stopped when I saw a weird dent in my skin when I got under the car light. But I went back and expressed my concerns and they assured me it was “pigment” coming to the surface. After I ceased treatment (which went on for far too long) I went on Retin-A which made a difference but I must admit my skin has never been the same. My skin before was basically flawless - I had 3 small scars from chicken pox, which it hasn’t even helped that much anyway. The changes are so strange because you can only see the lines in certain lighting. I’m considering an eyebrow lift and cheek implants in the future because honestly I think the skin is so damaged it feels like it’s lost fat! My face which was once youthful is now saggy, I had to get 5ml of fillers to feel half of wht I did before. Please anyone doing research only see a board certified derm for anything invasive or a plastic surgeon. I have seen Dr Lim to Begin with light LED treatments and possibly something more strong down the track. I felt really sad last night because I spoke to my partner about the microneedling and how I felt it’s done damage, and he said yes I noticed that straight away that it really changed your skin completely. I begun treatment when we first met. Unfortunately I think once the skin is poked and prodded enough I don’t hope for a full a return, but hopefully I can achieve significant improvement. Beware anyone thinking about going to the “skin clinics” which offer a treatment for a minimal cost, they probably bought the device on eBay.
