First treatment. Two weeks out and my skin looks the same or slightly worse than before the treatment. I have more lines under my eyes, my pores and few acne scars on my nose look the same. I had a breakout of cluster acne near the corner of the left side of my mouth right after the procedure and am still working to get that back to pre-treatment clarity. The lines on my forehead maybe look a little softer.
Recovering:
I was under the impression I would look fairly normal in a few days. I looked like a burn victim until day four. On day five people finally stopped asking "Oh my God what happened!?" And instead were commenting "Someone got a sunburn." Several of my friends have sworn they will never do Dermapen just based on my immediate post-op appearance. It was that intense. If it proves to be worth it I certainly will take time off work next time, but don't be fooled, this is a solid week of recovery.
I've been using the Skinmedica TNS serum twice a day as prescribed and am looking forward to finishing so I can go back to my regular routine. One morning I forgot TNS and used my regular routine instead and my face looked much better. However I know the TNS serum is for long term so I will stick it out. Going next month for Restylane under eye fillers and just did a sprinkle (25 units) of Botox today. Hoping to find a solid maintenance routine for long term and an overal rejuvenated look by my 35th birthday. We shall see : )

My goodness I have never seen a reaction like that. Are you sure you did not have an allergic reaction to the serum? Did you contact the person who did it?

I did. I was told this is normal and some people just take longer to heal. I saw my dermatologist yesterday and she said I look on track with healing. Skin still does not look better than pre-procedure. Everyone seems to love their results, I am so disappointed I'm not seeing good things.

You might be on track with healing but I don't think that you should have had that reaction. It is supposed to be a no downtime treatment. If I was you I would "Ask a Doctor" here and get another derm's opinion.

Would not recommend.
Week three: I still have needle marks all over my face. I did not have visible pores on my forehead before, now I have what look like small pores (needle marks) over the entirety of my face. The pores I did have, that I was hoping microneedling would minimize, are visible now even with makeup. I have never had persistent acne on my chin the way I have since the treatment. My overall texture looks rough. Nothing improved, and I am worried that I have permanently scarred my skin.
Wish I could go back and talk myself out of it.

I guess , the needles used are too big , and the product u apply are not suitable for ur skin. Also, iam note sure u put enough moisturisers.

I'm sorry things did not go as planned. Looking at your pics, I really think you would benefit from fillers under the eyes for the hollowness. It has to be restylane or Redensity II. Don't let anyone talk you into anything else. And go with someone with a lot of experience. In my opinione it doesn't have to be a plastic surgeon. Sometimes nurses who inject on a full time basis develop better skills than surgeons who perform injections because it's part of the job. Anyway my hollowness was much worse than you. I've been getting injections for about 5 years now and I honestly look better now at 38 (with 2 young children) than I did at 30. And for me the fillers last 2-3 years in the eye area.

Omg! Thank you for posting this. Exactly the same thing happened to me. Pores more visible and needle marks everywhere (not only little holes but longer micro tears, especially on my cheeks). I've had it done by two different people and let me tell you, recovery should not be so long. That's what I dealt with when the procedure was done by my first choice aesthetician. She was definitely too aggressive! My skin responded well first few times and then everything went down hill and my skin looks much worse than before. The second aesthetician was much gentler and my skin looked ok the second day, third day completely back to normal. I stopped right after that treatment as instead of seeing improvement, I saw micro tears :(
It's been almost 2 months since my last treatment and I hope my skin will heal and get better. Please stay in touch and let me know how things are going with time. Thank you!
