31 yo female with long history of acne scars.

UPDATED FROM kmo1968

Redness and swelling are gone.

WORTH IT$150
After my 3rd treatment I've really noticed a huge difference in the overall appearance of my skin. And the scars keep getting more and more shallow!

Thank you so much for posting this. I have my first ever consultation tomorrow and since my scars look so similar, on young skin as well, I will definitely bring up microneedling. Your skin looks great!! Cheers
Thank you! Good luck on your consultation! I think microneedling is a cheaper place to start. I felt that lasers were overpriced but are pushed by doctors as the first line treatment. I believe lasers can be great but it requires a well-trained practitioner! Ask for pictures from their clients, not the product manufacturer!
How long after first treatment did you notice a visible difference? Thank you for keeping us updated it is giving me such hope.
Once the redness subsides, I usually have a little swelling that falsely makes my scars look almost non-existence. But after a week the swelling is gone and I'm left with the real results which is what I'm grading. So I'd say after 1 week I notice a difference in my skin, the scars are softer, pores are smaller, tone is even, and my face is soooo soft. With each treatment, i see an improvement. I've only had 3 treatments, and I plan to get at least 3 more, I'll keep you posted!
Not seen a huge difference, though only three weeks past first derma pen treatment. Having next treatment next week.
Had second treatment and can definitely see a difference this time. Skin still peeling a little depth was 1.5mm.
Looking forward to following treatment in four weeks.
Your journey is extremely encouraging! I am the same age as you and I have only one cluster of very noticeable acne scars on one of my cheeks which really bothers me. Some of them look atrophic like some on your cheek and I was afraid that the only solution would be a filler. Your progress makes me feel that it is likely that I can go where I want to be simply with microneedling! Thanks for sharing!
I think the progress of your skin, from treatment to treatment, has been fantastic, and as others have said, it is inspiring and a source of great hope for those of us who are on the same journey to better skin and significantly reduced scarring. Thank you for sharing your progress and journey! Progress I have seen after my own first treatment has also left me with great hope! Best always for continued improvement!
What treatment did you have?
Thank you so much for continuing to stay active with this. I go in for my first collagen pin on Friday and this has been by far one of the most helpful posts for me to feel better about my decision to get this procedure done. You've given me hope, thank you!

I wish the microswelling would stay! I almost wonder if there is a filler that would give the same effect but last more than a few days :)
I have pretty much the same scars in my cheeks. My doctor injected Lyft and Belotero filler combined and says it works for 1-2 years.
Can you post a before you started microneedling compared to a now picture after 3 treatments? Thanks :)
The very first picture is before microneedling. I only saved a picture on the one side.
You look great! Did you just do regular microneedling?
Thank you so much! Just regular microneedling! I think the key to good results are finding someone who is really skilled at it!
Did you see a good improvement after the fillers? That is the only thing I haven't tried. The Dr I saw recommended against them because my scars weren't bad enough, which is refreshing having been to so many places where money reigns over honesty, but it is something I am still interested in!
Your skin looks amazing . Is microneedling same as dermaroller
Microneedling is the procedure or treatment and the dermaroller is the tool for this. The other method is using the dermapen, which is run by electric.
Oh thx ! I really want to do a treatment too
Yes
Nooooo derma roller does not penetrate skin as deep as microneedling can

How often are you getting the treatments?
Also, what number are the needles they are using?
Hey girl. You are very pretty. I was wondering who you went to and how much did it cost?
How long do you wait between sessions (frequency of appointments?)
The original poster did not reply but I will help you out by saying at least 4-6 weeks to get the best results.
do you use a dermaroller or getting a microneedling pen treatment done? and what serums do you use?
okay, i read your comments - so what type of pen did Paige use? the results are amazing. What serums? I'm an esthetician as well, and would be helpful to know. thanks!
