Rhinoplasty Was Worth It and Looks Completely Natural - Southfield, MI

I have always been uncomfortable with my profile....

WORTH IT$4,200

I have always been uncomfortable with my profile. I didn't have the biggest nose I have ever seen, however, I come from a Lebanese family, and inherited the Lebanese nose. Growing up I got picked on here and there for having a bigger nose, so I was always sensative on the subject. I always wanted a nose job, but never thought I would have the guts or money to do it.

One day a new girl came in at work and said she had just gotten a nose job two weeks ago. Her nose looked gorgeous and she barely had any bruising. I asked her questions of the cost and how painful it was. The cost was $4,200 and she said there was little to no pain. I must say I agree with her. The only pain I really felt was after waking up from surgery and feeling the burning in my throat where they stuck the tube down. I only needed vicodine the first day for that. Other than that the worst part is all the blood that drains down your throat the first day or two. I can honestly say my belly button piercing hurt worse.

I am extremely happy I chose to do this and would recommend it to anyone looking to do so. Of course you need to do your homework and find the right doc. but once you have, it is worth it:)

Thank you so much for sharing! One year later picture – you look amazing. I’m still at 1.5 month post op, and as I noticed it’s a long process to heal, at least in my case.

thank you very much! at one and a half months there were still stitches visible on the inside of my nose, as it takes almost a year for all of the swelling to go down. Even a year later, the tip of my nose is a little sensitive. if anyone else out there is reading this who had a nose job, do you know when that goes away? and also, do not worry if even up to a year or longer if stitches come out because there is a line of stitches all the way up and most of the time dissolve, but don't worry they will just fall out. if anyone has any questions on the healing process, etc. please do not hesitate to ask!

It took a good year for the numbness in the tip of my nose to subside. Maybe more.

Wow ur nose came out great! u look awesome. Ur nose prior to the surgery looks similar to mine so I was wondering what did the doctor do for u? Was ur nose profile shorten? was it a closed rhinoplasty or open? was the wide of ur tip narrowed? and what about ur bridge? I need some ideas as to what to tell my doctor when I come in for second consultation since he wasnt much of a talker but more of a listener and its hard to say so much since one needs another person's point of view to help, thanks

the best thing to do is prior to the surgery bring in a few photos and discuss what you want with your doctor. they went in through my nostrils and upper lip. it was closed, most of them are now a days, i believe. i did have my nose shortened. he straightened my bridge but he really did what he wanted to do. make sure you see some work of your doctor. i knew a few people who went to him, so i was familiar with his work. also google your doctor and view his resume and make sure he is board certified. there is also a way you can view ratings of doctors in your area. make sure to talk to people who have gone to your doctor and get their oppinion. search celebrities who you may look similar to and see what kind of a nose you would want. make sure it fits with your face :) good luck- keep me updated!
cheers

Random occurrence: about a year ago I had a horrible smell that would not leave my nose for months. It was making life very unpleasant. Everyone I would ask around me would say they didn't smell anything. Long story short- one night after the shower, I pulled a stitch out of my nose with a pair of tweezers.,.. 2 YEARS LATER! So ladies... if you have a weird smell anywhere from months or years later it could be something like this, so go get it checked out.

I had surgery with Dr. Warren Brandes on January 30th 2013. I couldn't have asked for better results and a better surgeon. I'm extremely please with the results and the healing process has been great. The first few days were the worst, especially in the morning, felt alot of pressure in the face and was really uncomfortable. I had a black eye and some swelling under both eyes but nothing too severe, by the 5th day the bruising was much better as well as the swelling. I found that an ice pack covered in a soft cloth worked great and helped a lot. Sleeping was the most difficult part, try and get yourself a airplane pillow, that will keep your head in place. I got my cast off a week later and then stitches came out a a week after that. I've been noticing changes everyday as the swelling has been going down and its taking its shape. I'm extremely happy with the results!!!!! Hope this helps, let me know how it goes and if you have any questions.

I also posted a review with photos today, so you can see before and afters of his work. This site says it will take a day for them to review and post. When is your surgery scheduled for?

Thanks for sharing! Your nose is beautiful !! Funny you mentioned the smell... I had a horrible smell in my nose for about a year after my first rhinoplasty (in the 1980s). It finally just went away... I wonder if it was from a leftover stitch? Boy, the things I have learned from this website... Thanks again!
