Great Experience, Perfect Results!

I was originally scheduled with Dr. Hasan, but due to some abnormal blood counts I was given the option of seeing Dr. Kagan, and I believe it was nothing short of a blessing and miracle from GOD! I never met Dr. Hasan, but after meeting Dr. Kagan I knew he was the doctor for me and while I am only 9 days post op, I am beyond pleased and excited to see what my end results will be once all of the swelling has gone down. I had a total abdominoplasty(I hope I spelled that correctly..this is where I would insert the thinking emoji :) with liposuction of the flanks. Dr. Kagan made me feel comfortable and at ease at my pre-op visit and prior to surgery, and when I came out of surgery I felt like I really hadn’t had much done. I remember saying “it’s over? We done?” Because I didn’t feel like I had a major surgery. I took one Percocet, my first night then I used Tylenol to manage my pain and I stopped taking them 2 days ago. Everyone at Jolie was very friendly and my experience overall was great. If I had one complaint or suggestion rather.. I would have loved to have seen Dr. Kagan for at least one of my post op visits if for no other reason than to give him a hug, but overall I am pleased beyond my own expectations! Thank you Dr. Kagan and Jolie Plastic Surgery! I will post pictures once some more of the swelling has gone down.

How are you feeling

I’m doing really good, I’m still fairly swollen but everything is healing nicely. My belly button is placed perfectly and overall I feel pretty good. I will say that my 41 year old bounce back is not the same as my 20 or 23 year old bounce back, but I went back to work today as a cosmetologist. I only worked a short shift, but I can definitely feel it.

I’m happy to hear that can you see a difference so far even with the swelling and how would you rate your incisions
August 1, 2018
I definitely see a difference and on a scale from 1-10 I would give my incisions a 6. I had a tummy tuck incision scar that was used for the majority of the incision and that is supper clean, but the ends of my incision on both sides will need some massage and some deems love and attention, but I try to be honest with myself and mindful of the possibilities when making decisions and honestly I knew I had a 50/50 chance of getting amazing results. Considering the price and just the concept of Miami Surgery centers period. Even with my not so perfect incisions or rather not so perfect stitching in comparison to the center of my incision which is practically seamless, I am still so far 100% pleased.

Auto correct “mederma” not deems love and attention.

Wow you look great! Did you use a recliner to sleep in initially? I'm scheduled for MM on 8/8 and I'm a complete wuss when it comes to pain. I hope and pray my recovery goes like yours has so far. Thanks or sharing your PS journey.

Yes, I slept in a recliner for the first 2 days then I slept with a lot of pillows propping me up and a body pillow under my knees... I still sleep like that. I use a travel pillow so I don’t get a crook in my neck. I love real self for the exact same reasons you appreciate them and often read many different answers to the same question for perspective, so I definitely suggest reading multiple responses whenever you have questions. So while the recovery has not been bad at all, I am still recovering... for the first time I can say I feel my age, which is 41, so if you are younger!? Good for you, because I do believe or rather I’m certain the older you are, the longer it is going to take your body to heal. I am still very tight in my abdomen, but from my reading it seems to be consistent with the healing process which they say takes about 3-6 months for full recovery. I’m a believer! Don’t be surprised if you find yourself questioning yourself during this recovery process. Thanks for the questions.. I appreciate you being willing to trust my advice, and just for the record, even though I’m not fully recovered, still swollen and hurting....I’m snatched sis, so it’s all good! :) Best wishes and a speedy recovery!

You look amazing so glad you’re in love with your results. I’m scheduled for feb 28th I was planning on leaving March 4th. I guess my pcp will be taking my drains out. I’m super nervous, but reading reviews of the experiences has calmed me some. Did they send you a list of items to bring ? I have asked and haven’t received it. I’m just hoping everything goes smoothly. I’m getting my bloodwork done next week.

Hi all!
Just wanted to post a few pictures and give a few updates on my healing. So I’m not sure if I said this before but I definitely feel my age. For whatever reason I was under the impression that my bounce back would not take 3 to 6 months as stated over and over again. However, I have found and realize that not only is the expected recovery times accurate.. the healing has really put into perspective how serious this surgery is. With that being said, my suggestions when making a decision like this is to definitely do research about the facility and the doctor, the procedure and the healing process, and listen to your intuition. I am very pleased however in hindsight I would prefer to have a Dr. close to home that I can physically follow up with to ask questions. Like my right side appears and feels a little more swollen then my left.. is this normal? I’ve read enough reviews to determine it likely is, but I would love to have a Dr. physically look and touch to confirm. So would I do this again!? Yes, but I would definitely go about it differently.
