Ok, I will be having my tummy tuck with minor Lopo...

WORTH IT$12,900
Ok, I will be having my tummy tuck with minor Lopo to the upper abdomen and flanks on January 6th 2015. My surgery will be done by Dr. Jackie Yee at Bakers Plastic Surgery. I have seen two of my friends tummy tucks by her and they look amazing! I am 100% happy and confident with my choice of surgeon :-) At the moment my emotions range from feeling ecstatic to feeling terrified with a near nervous breakdown! My nurse gave me a prescription for Valium but I haven't taken one yet. I think just knowing they are there is helping me to keep my anxiety a little under control. I have never been under general and I think this is what is causing the most anxiety. Did any of you ladies suffer terribly with anxiety? Any advice would be so welcomed :-) on a brighter note, I am so glad that I made this decision. I am hoping for washboard abs! Hope that's not asking to much. I have my recliner coming the day before I go in and all of my supplies are ready. My hubby will be taking care of me and my kiddies will be at school they are 11 and 13 so will be able to help out around the house. I will post some pics soon, need to do that for myself too :-) I can't believe its just over a week away!!

I had my tummy tuck Dec 17, 2014. I was very nervous, but determined to rid myself of the apron on my tummy. I'm so glad I did!! The two c-sections I had made the TT seem like a stroll in the park! On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst pain, I only got to 5 for a few hours after my drain tube was removed. It really has not been painful; "sore" best describes post surgery. On day 4 post-surgery I was ready to get out of the house. Remember the reasons you chose to undergo the TT, say your prayers before you go under, and go for it!! I hope all goes well.

Thanks Jbrown :-) I to had a C section. I did recover well from that so hoping it will be the same. Just took some pics of my tummy and was totally shocked at how awful it is :-( I am glad you are happy with your results. Thanks for the reply it really helps.x

I'm scheduled for January 16th I am nervous and excited both. I'm nervous because of the complications that could occur with surgery, but I'm excited about having a nice abds. Good luck on the new you and keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Devorshea22, I think that is what got me feeling anxious. I do rationalise and tell myself so many people go into surgery and come out fine and that's just the thought that I try to keep in my mind. Good luck to you too! I will keep you posted on my journey and please let me know how you get on. Us ladies need each other in times like these! Lol

Anxiety is part of the process. I won't advise you to calm down. I had a freak out post on my blog the day before surgery. Had a migraine due to the stress and my back locked up. Looking back I understand it but 2.5 months postop, all us wonderful. You will love that you did this. Good luck!

Thanks Matea2, That's what I keep thinking, it's all part of the process. Today I am feeling pretty calm. I know it's a roller coaster of emotions. I know when I come out the flat side I will be so happy :-) Great to hear you are happy with your results.

What is the price Dr. Yee is charging you? I went to Dr. Baker for both my breast augmentations and he was over 10,000. Very expensive. I am also looking for a tummy tuck and lipo of the flanks. Any info would be great;-)

Hi, she is charging me $12,900 for the TT and lipo. They are expensive but since this is my first surgery and I have seen first hand two tummy tucks and a breast aug, her work is very clean looking and amazing. I will be doing Lipo of the upper abdomen and the flanks too :-) I really trust her too. She is very straight and tells you the truth. I will post pics after my procedure.

Yes they are a very pricey but you get what you paid for. My mother, grandmother, sister, and friends have gone to baker and his work is amazing. My family is very well known in miami and they will not go to any one else. They say he's practice is the best and I agree. I would like to mention when I did get boobs done for the first time I was not tested for cigarets in my system. Please if you are a smoker DO NOT GO UNDER THE KNIFE. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. If you would like to know what happened to me please send me a message. Please dont worry you are in very good hands.

Thanks iyanasmom! The nurse did tell me they will give me a pregnancy test and nicotine test on the day of surgery. Thank god I do not smoke anymore. I gave up over 11 years ago :-) I really appreciate your advice too and it's nice to know that all of your family think highly of the practice! I hope you have recovered from your surgery and normally I would ask what did happen to you but, because I am so near my date I am afraid it may terrify me and give me anxiety. Thank you so much though.x

Well, I have managed to stay calm from the last time I posted( few days ago) I have been on this site everyday though. Not sure if I mentioned it but I am on vacation with my family and to be honest would rather be home nesting and sorting out the final touches. My surgeon has told me it's ok for me to get a mani and pedi which I will do two days before surgery. I know having my hair, hands and feet nice will help me feel better about myself after surgery, or I am hoping it will! Lol. Did you ladies shave or wax a few days before surgery? I really don't want to go in a hairy mess! Lol. I keep looking at all the fabulous after pics of you ladies and that really is keeping me focused on the positive. I can't believe I am going to have a flat tummy and no muffin top! Any ladies going in before me, sending you well wishes and speedy healing. I hope you all love your results!

oh i also wanted to ad it was over 10 years ago that i was not tested for nicotine with my first boob job by him. Maybe they did not do that back then, but I got my boobs done again about 3 years ago and they are perfect. Do you know how long Dr. Yee has been doing tummy tucks? Last I heard she was a specialist in the face? I saw her before and afters and they are amazing.
January 2, 2015
Hi :-) I'm not sure how long Dr. Yee has been doing TT's but two of my friends have gone under with her and her work is amazing! I have also seen her before and after pics. I like her, she is very straight with you but not pushy. She has also filled my tear troughs with Colima and she did an amazing job. I will be having a touch more under my eyes when I am under with the tummy tuck. Thanks for replying it makes me feel much calmer. I will keep updating and post pics as and when:-) oh, I forgot to ask you, did you feel anxious on the day? I am nervous I may lose it! Lol I have some Valium ready but have never taken one before and am scared of taking that too! Lol

Sorry not Colima! Voluma! Bloody auto correct

Yes i was very nervous with both of my surgeries. I know if i go to her or him for my tummy tuck i wont be nervous at all because i trust them both completely. Im going to see if i can get a consultation with him. How long did it take for her to book you? YES TO VALIUM. LOL :-)
January 2, 2015
I went for my first consultation about 6 months ago. Because of my husbands schedule I arranged my date for January 6th 2015. So not sure if you just wanted to schedule straight after your first consultation. Good luck with your journey and yes, I know what you mean about feeling good with them :-) I promise to post pics. I will be staying the night at the surgery center, I'm so glad about that. My hubby will collect me the day after and I will not tell my kids I am going in. They know mommy is having a surgery. I told them I am having my muscles fixed and they didn't ask any more questions..phew! When my hubby collects them from school he will tell them that mommy had her surgery and she is all good. Just don't want them to go to school and worry all day. Look out for my after pics, I don't have long now!! Yikes!!

Also I wanted to ad they are very good after the surgery is done. They will answer any concerns fast Dr. baker even gave me his personal cell phone. FYI- Dont worry about the hair, you are thinking to much. Just shave and go. Please please please keep me posted and send pics. XOXOXO
