37 Years Old, 3 Kids, in Need on MM for Past 11 Years - Miami Beach, FL

Sorry I've been out of the loop. On day 17 post MM I didn't feel right .... I told my friend to take me to ER. After 5 hours and a ton of blood tests turn out I have a small PE in my left lung, and lucky to be alive. It really wasn't Drs fault! He gave me Levonox shots for 3 days filling surgery that is meant to help you not get a PE but for some reason I " won the lottery" on this shitty possibly lethal thing. It's one of the risks and you never think it'll happen to you, but it did happen to me and recovery has been difficult. I'm now on Xarelto ( an anticoagulant ) for the next 3-6 months. I'm trying to focus on the positive .... Not always easy. I do however love my results so far. Trying to take it one day at a time.

About a month before surgery my husband and I decided that although we reside only 40 minutes from surgical center I should look for a recovery house. I called and texted 3-4 different ones. It took them days to get back if at all... Yane responded immediately , answered all questions , sent me pictures and reassured my fears when she said I would be cared for by Reina who is a nurse and Carmen who is the lymphatic massage therapist. Reina cooked all of my meals and snacks that were some of the best / healthiest cooking I have ever had. The care I got was beyond my wildest dreams. Whatever I wanted/ needed was provided. She slept by my side first night because I wanted to remain on the lounger / recliner and couldn't move into bed. She didn't even wait for me to call for help she would just hop right up, amazing! Beautiful Miami villa with amazing caretakers ! Best 3 days ever!
