Gynecomastia Surgery

I came to MIA Aesthetics for gynecomastia treatment. I was informed that I would be receiving liposuction of the chest and gland removal. I sent in my pictures of my chest and scheduled my appointment. Although I had a pre-op visit the day before surgery, I didn't meet with my doctor until minutes before surgery. After examining me he suggested just doing the lipo and maybe the gland removal at a later date. He was concerned about skin sag if he did both. I guess he didn't review the pictures beforehand. I should mention that this facility also does the BBL procedures for women which I believe is the majority of their work. When I awoke from surgery I had a oxygen mask on and curtains around me. I could hear someone on the other side moaning, I assumed was just waking up from surgery as well. I began to moan also because I couldn't talk. A few minutes later a nurse I could hear was running into the room. She's helping the person next to me and then she assists me. She removed my mask and told me to rest for an hour...I was not given anything to drink but was extremely thirsty. After a hour I had my clothes slipped on and assisted into a wheel chair and rolled out the back door where my companion was told to meet me with the car. As I stood up from the wheel chair blood/fluid streamed out of the bandages which were wrapped around my chest. The nurse said it was mainly the fluid that was injected in me prior to the lipo procedure. The next day I had my post-op and at that time I inquired about a compression vest which was part of my costs. I was told that they didn't have any in stock...instead they gave me more ace elastic bandages which didn't do much for me. For the first two days I bled through my bandages. My second and final post-op was 4 days later and again I inquired about a compression vest and was told they didn't have one and that I could purchase on my own. A week after my surgery I contacted the accounting office to seek a partial refund. Since gland removal and a compression vest was part of my costs, I felt a refund was appropriate. It took several days for them to get back to me but they did give me a partial refund for the gland removal but stated they would not reimburse me for the costs for getting a vest. Good compression vests begin at 100+ and I had to absorb this cost on my own. Not sure how the final results will be since I was unable to get a vest until 2 weeks post-op.
