My Experience,To Be Continued
Just finished Dr. Maercks customized abdominal Phallollasty and it included everything that he found that needed to be fixed or just made better.
I will go into more detail as healing continues because I literally just had it done on Friday.
I have been on this journey since the late 1970’s and had top done then, came out from what I have been by other professionals very well considering how long ago that was and the way things were at the time. After that I had a full and I mean totally complete meta done with all the bells and whitlstles by a very competent but not very well known team of surgeons at the University of Pittsburgh Hospital, because of the overall entirety of things to be taking out and added, those who know about this will understand. Then had a small revision done by a surgeon doing residency and learning how to work on this particular type of surgery, he was just learning how to do reconstructive urology or at least that is what I understood as I did know he is also a plastic surgeon. This was in Detroit, btw is very well known and respected now doing a lot of SRS surgery’s of different sorts.
Now after many years of researching and pondering about why I still didn’t feel satisfied or complete so to speak and dysphoria raises its ugly head again I finally found a procedure and a medical professional that I totally felt not only extremely comfortable with after the first meeting but also totally got what he wanted to accomplish i it was exactly what I believe would take me where I needed to be mind and body whole.
He really understood me and what I am trying to achieve as an individual.
Now I am not going to criticize or try to say my idea or way to go is the way for others and I won’t accept anyone saying that to me.
So as I continue to heal I will find the way to communicate how things are and what the experience is like, I wil not say it was easy because nothing like this ever is and I won’t say it was just uncomfortable because it is a lot more than that however it is to be expected. If we are honest with ourselves. This is only the beginning nd have a long way to go. Every one is different and we all have different health issues as well as body types. I will say I truely am happy with my choice of surgery and more than happy with Dr. Maercks himself and his team and that means everyone, Starting with Aroon who I found extremely competent as well as compassionate just a total professional.
About Dr. Maercks, I can not say enough about his professionalism, bedside manner or his love of his art, and that is what took me over the line as nervous and hesitant as I had been all the time trying to find my way.
Any way will communicate my journey because it is important to others like myself to know all the stories so we can make a decision that is right for ourselves and not be just sheep following the herd, because that’s all we know.
One more thing, I read a lot of negativity from
others and I won’t respond or debate as this is not my purpose so if there are those of you who think that is your purpose in life, well what can I say, I won’t critique you either. I choose to stay anonymous as I do have my reasons and have been this way longer than most of you have been alive and it is my choice for very personal reasons.
