Sorry for not posted by wanted to update. I was able to cancel my surgery with Dr Mendieta.. just didn’t seem right.
I have now had removal and reconstruction.
Took a long 3 years to complete. While I’m still a bit insecure about the scars left and my small butt even with recon... I’m happy bc I have my health. It was a very expensive journey but I’m finally done thank goodness.

5 years ago I was allegedly injected with hylauronic acid. I now have pain, discoloration, and health issues. I plan to have surgery with Dr Mendieta on June 2. I’m a bit concerned with his approach as it didn’t work for KMichelle and apparently @bodiedbyJ. Who else has had this with Mendieta? ????

Does he only want to do liposuction to the area?
Yes, which is my concern Bc I’ve read that it doesn’t work. In addition I have performed a US on my self and see calcifications.. I’m addressing these issues with him on FaceTime since I live in Atlanta. I work in radiology and am surprised he hasn’t ordered any imaging

Annie, I’m looking for a doctor to do this type of removal injection procedure. It’s there any suggestions or advice that you can give concerning this?
I’m seeing Gallerani in June 1 since Mendieta won’t return my calls or address my concerns. They took my 2k and haven’t heard since .. I’ve got Vivian calling but she not clinical and can’t address my surgery.

He uses Lipo for removal which is not the correct method to removing it

Please don’t do liposuction with this procedure it’s a waste of money and most of all it’s not safe
Ladies, do not try to remove the material thought liposuction, it will get worse. Go and see Dr. Gallerani, he is the only one in south Florida who knows how to do this. I had it removed with Gallerani

Hi, I too have fallen victim to the illegal butt injections. 3 years ago for me and this past summer I noticed discoloration on each side of my hips. I’m also having loved back and leg pain. I’m meeting with Dr. Katzen tomorrow and I am so scared. How have you been feeling since your removal. Thank you for allow people like me to reach out to you for guidance and answers.
