Feeling Disfigured & Bucthered

annad1
WORTH IT$10,500
At first I have to say I was happy. Happy to get this stuff removed from my body. But it wasn’t so simple. I was left with drains and on antibiotics for 11 months. I was cut into five additional times. I can’t imagine 11 months of antibiotics being good for my body. Luckily my gut bacteria is still ok. And to fix this is not so easy. Once you remove everything even after Lipo it doesn’t mean you put fat in and it stays. No there’s a bigger chance it won’t becuase of lack of blood flow. I honestly wish I would’ve waited and researched some more because there are definitely better ways to get this stuff removed without leaving the butt so disfigured and butchered. Unfortunately I cannot go back only move forward. So now I have to have three surgeries just to fix this mess.

these doctors are getting paid big money and will scare the [RS bleep] out of you to get the removal done. If it is not infected, I do not see why removal is necessary. Women, as we get older we will experience aches no pains (it comes with age) we'll exp thinner hair, new allergies we didn't have before, headaches, ect. it doesn't mean that these symptoms are from the damn silicone. A very well respected Plastic Surgeon and friend told me that a lot of these doctors are doing removals for big amounts of money it brings in but advised me that unless you are in the hospital with an infection, removal should not be considered.

Cristy4715 You stated that you've done a lot of research, but your ignorance on deciding whether to keep the product(known to cause all sorts of issues eventually) in or remove it leads me to believe otherwise. There are so many people with symptoms and without who've decided that removal is the best option for them. Your "Plastic Surgeon friend" may be right about certain doctors making lots of money from removing foreign material, but that's why one must do extensive research prior to choosing any ole doctor. I never experienced all the symptoms I had because "I was getting older." That's just nonsense! I had my removal w/Dr. Gallerani and 2 days after the surgery I had no back pain, aches, restless leg/nerve issues etc. I'm doing excellent and it was all because of the removal surgery. Yes some doctors are expensive, but hey you get what you pay for.

Wow three more surgeries to fix that , could you please post pics about you reconstruction, because I did the removal 2 years back and Im waiting for my reconstruction with the same doctor but I’d never see any pictures of any reconstructions with him , everybody post pictures about the removal but never after the reconstruction and I worry about that .
February 12, 2019
Go to his Instagram he has a lot!!
December 12, 2018
I wanna know what you mean you were cut into five additional times because I was concern about that , are you talking about the reconstruction or you did more surgeries to remove more ? because I saw the picture you post when you got the removal and you look great, you are not completely flat like me and you don’t have any discoloration .
April 19, 2019
Wow! Do you need 3 more surgeries for reconstruction or removal? Also do you think that dr G was a good choice?

Where my silicone was

annad1
I apologize for so many updates but I forgot to share with you where my silicone was. So besides it being on top portion of my butt it was also in the muscle. This is one of the most difficult procedures to do because of the muscle. He was able to remove the silicone that formed on my muscle with scar tissue and keep my muscle alive and well. Is that not amazing!

I'm going the 30th for surgery I'm really scared. But I feel so sick from this junk inside my muscle. I had it done about two mths ago worst mistake of my life. Did you feel better once it was out of your muscle ?
October 9, 2015
Who is removing it for you? Yes immediately. What happens is that it stiffeness your muscle and causes pain. So it has to be brought back to life. Dr G is thebomb.com
October 9, 2015
May I ask after all these stories what made you do the silicone? I did mine in the early 2000's it wasn't such a huge phenomenon and was before people started using all these crazy materials. If I would've just heard one story of the borrow story there is no way I would've done it. It's just not worth it. I wish I would've researched it but being so young, in a dark place and influenced I made a huge mistake. Guess we live and we learn. I just hope girls out there stop doing this to themselves. There are so many stories in the news and everywhere about this and I just don't understand how people on here are still interested in doing this. It is against the law for a reason.
October 9, 2015
I'm not passing judgement on you I just asked. I've been on here for two years and I've read girls asking around information on how to find someone to do the silicone. It breaks my heart how desperate we are at times and if we would just take a deep breath and learn to love ourselves from with in we can then make better decisions.
October 9, 2015
Gallerani is doing it.
I was told it was a biogel that would last only a few mths. See girls around me that haven't had any complications I decided to try it. I did very little thank god cause I had a reaction 3 days later. It was by far the dumbest thing I have ever done. I really wish I would have researched more. Dr g says its in a oil form still he's gonna suck it out the best he can. I've def learned my lesson.
October 9, 2015
I was also told it was used in colombia. Now after the fact my research has found this not to be true. I pray he can help me undo this mess I've gotten myself into so blindly.
October 10, 2015
He did lipo ? May I ask was it hard , the reason why I ask is because mines is not hard my butt is soft I just have discoloration on the lower part and in the middle I think that's were the product is . I am also thinking of going to him .
October 10, 2015
I did not do lipo because I've had it in for so long and it formed into little balls as show in his YouTube video. Mine was medical grade silicone and I never had discoloration. I highly recommend DrG because he is the most knowledgable one out there. He's not guessing with this stuff like most surgeons are.
October 10, 2015
I forgot to mention. My but was soft, natural and jiggly. If it's freshly done they can lipo it but when it's been in for a while and has formed it has to be cut out.

Ana I've had mine for three years now. I don't have any pain yet just discoloration on one side. I'm really scared of having this in my body. My butt is soft also. I will make appointment with your Dr. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us with the same oroblem
October 9, 2015
Did you have pain in your legs at all like tingling ?
October 10, 2015
Yes I did
October 10, 2015
I have sore legs some days and some days I don't. Did it go away? Sorry so many questions I'm just looking forward to the relief.
October 9, 2015
Omg you are sooo lucky that he can suck it out with lipo. It should be much easier than mine. See when we take short cuts it ends up costing us more. Well good luck and keep me posted.
October 9, 2015
I def will you have put me at ease. Knowing he made you feel better. Hope all goes well with you aswell.
October 9, 2015
The injections are in the muscle so he has to cut to suck it out :/
October 10, 2015
I had it cut out and removed from the muscle. I was so scared but they just made me feel so comfortable and his knowledge so secure that I knew it was going to be fine. And I cry in tears just the thought of all I've been through with this stuff. I cry out of joy and appreciation and gratefulness for having found such a great surgeon. I can't wait for the second surgery to fix
October 10, 2015
That's awesome I'm happy for you.

October 10, 2015
Do you have to have another MRI before you put your own fat in? To see if there's any trace of silicone still?
October 13, 2015
No because he removed everything that was there. What ever is left over is minimal and hard to remove. There will never be 100% removal no matter where you go.
October 13, 2015
Oh ok. I wasn't sure how that worked. So is there a chance it will return the pain. I hoping that is a no for you. He told me that there is a slim chance it can return. That its kinda like cancer. Guess all we can do is eat and stay as healthy as possible
October 14, 2015
Yes. Well getting most of it out gives us a better chance of it not returning. So all we can do is hope and pray and believe
October 15, 2015
I feel pain in my thighs and legs sometimes. Feels like the going numb at some points. I wonder if its hitting my siatic nerve. Did this happen to you?
October 15, 2015
Yes exactly what you have explained. And it hurt to sit
October 16, 2015
Did you mean you feel all those pains before or after de surgery Anna? I'm going through so much pain and inflammation for over two months I can't take it any more, I have been taking antibiotics at times, and ibuprofen 800 mg daily, just to be able to keep on full time working and functioning as a single mom, my appt is the 26 for the first visit, and I have no idea how will I finance a surgery and weeks of work, hoping in the Lord, any advise will be much appreciate it :(
October 16, 2015
It hurts at the sides too, but not discoloration
October 17, 2015
No discoloration but it hurt before the surgery. If you can take two weeks off of work and the. Use a credit card. That's what I did. 0% interest until 15 months unpaid it off sooner so I can do the second one next year. See for menu don't care how long it takes as long as I'm healthy
October 17, 2015
Thank you for your reply, I can't wait till all of this is over, I know you understand my desperation, thank you
October 17, 2015
I went into this surgery with just one thought. Getting this stuff removed. Everything else I figure I'll deal with it as it comes and this all shall pass. I know once it's over I will look back on this with relief and less worry
October 20, 2015
Hello faithful10, I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I have no pain but the thought of having this thing inside me is scaring the heck out of me.
October 26, 2015
Please let us know how your appointment went with the doctor. Mine is coming up soon.

October 26, 2015
I myself am in same situation but no pain yet and little discoloration. I am also looking to get this poison out of my body. My advice is to trust in God pray and he will listen. Only he can give us the strength and courage to go through a surgery and get it removed. I will pray for you
October 27, 2015
Hi there, I finally went to Dr Galleranis yesterday for my first visit, I traveled two hours to get there, and had the first appt to have the MRI done, to take it to the surgeon later, as the doctor explained me this surgery is very difficult and on a first surgery he will be able to remove most of the foreign material that's between the muscle and the skin, but not the part that's in the muscle, surgery may last 5.30 to 6 hours and will cost a bit over $20.000. My heart still pounding and I have a not on my chest I can't even think about this, but I did wanted to say thank you so much Anna for your support to the group, you have been very informative, and Tina for your prayers, we all need them... Will talk later...:(
October 27, 2015
4 weeks without sitting for me, no work for 3 to 4 weeks, forget about driving, and I'm a single mom, great doctor though and staff, I'm praying for God to make a way, I'm determine to have it done...
October 27, 2015
Omg really. I went two weeks without sitting. What did he say about the amount you have in there? I'm a single mom also I was just lucky to have the support of my mom and sister. I'm sorry
October 27, 2015
Oh man I'm so sorry to hear that. Did you have a lot of material in there? As I mentioned every case is different. Mine was approximately 3.5 hours and I didn't have much in there.
October 27, 2015
I'm so sorry I will pray for you
October 27, 2015
You know what now that you have the report and disc I would do a phone consultation with Dr Repta. He would be the only other Doctor I would've gone to if not for Gallerani. He's in Arizona
October 28, 2015
Thank you Anna, to me it didn't seem it was to much material, I guess once is in it does expand in there, the bad news is that he said that what is outside of the muscle and the fat around, hurts but serves as a cushion for the muscle, once he remove that fat and then the material around, the muscle will start feel sore because of the material inside
October 28, 2015
I will be sitting on the plain muscle that contains hard material inside, he can't not cut the muscle, will have to wait until he opens first to have a better view, like you, fat drafting 6 months to a year may help a bit but it doesn't guaranty much, the incisions will be similar to yours as well
October 28, 2015
This is so upsetting... You have been God sent, I will search for that Doctor you mentioned, any especial reason why you didn't choose dr Repta?
User Avatar
October 28, 2015
Faithful, why is the surgery going to last so long? Do you have a lot of the product in you? Don't be sad, I think taking the first step is the hardest, which you already did. Keep in mind this is something we have to do to have a healthier life. Take one day at a time and don't stress about it....remember God is with you and only he will give us the strength to go through this
October 28, 2015
Amen
October 28, 2015
Because my consultation with Dr Gallerani was spot on and he knew how it reacted, and all my symptoms. Also initially the opening was going to be in between the crack until I decided I wanted as much out so he had to cut on top which I don't care about the scarring I care about my health. The scar will lighten up with silicone strips and fat transfer. Dr Repta charges $50 for a phone consultation and he is also very good.
October 11, 2015
He does not use lipo to suck it out. Because lipo heats up and will get rid of good tissue. He uses another kind of tool that does not heat up. (Like a vacuum I guess)

Dr G also pulled my flanks down to the empty area so that it wasn't so empty and the tissue kept the skin alive while it's healing. I'm almost complete with the drains and hoping to have these babies removed in 2-3 weeks.
October 16, 2015
Did you go home with the drains? Or are you still in Miami?
October 16, 2015
Also how long did you stay in the hospital after surgery?
October 17, 2015
I stood in Miami for two weeks. He removed my stitches and I went home with the drains. I still have them because I want to make sure it has drained enough. Because he scraped the silicone off the muscle the muscle has to heal also including that empty space he cut the silicone out of. So it's taking a while to finish draining. I am pretty much done but I'm waiting just to be sure. In planning to go first week of November to get them removed.
October 17, 2015
I wonder how long I'll have drains for
October 17, 2015
It all depends on the space and if it's in the muscle. It's a pain but I've learned to deal with it
October 10, 2015
Your butt looks good.
October 16, 2015
You look great!!! Wish I could get a result like that!! Can't imagine after the second procedure. I had silicone injected in 2007 and I am hoping one day get it fixed. I wanted to know for how long do you have to have the drains? and how much time has to pass to be able to proceed with the second surgery?
October 16, 2015
The drainage really depends on how much has to be cut out. He had to clean up my muscle. So some people have drains for 2 weeks while others may have it for 4 months. You need minim 4-6 months before the second procedure. I'm using shorts by lovemybubbles with butt pads so no one around me can tell the difference. Lol
October 26, 2015
I just ordered it. Did you order the silicone for a more realistic feel?. I thought I would try the regular one and take it from there.
October 18, 2015
Hi Anna, when did you went for surgery? How long since you are carrying the drains?
October 19, 2015
I went August 14. I still have my drains. One is finished the other got clogged a couple of times so it's taking a little longer. You have to remember your drains depend on how much is removed and where it is. Some girls take two weeks while others may take four months. Either way it is important to have drains
October 19, 2015
Good to know, thank you!!!
October 20, 2015
My surgery is next week starting to freak a little. How long till he cleared you to go home? I planned in staying in Miami only a week cause I live 3 he's away.
October 27, 2015
You should be ok. You will just have to come back to remove your stitches. And for the check ups. Good luck and remember this is two stage process. The most important thing for me was removing it and yes I am a bit deformed but the second surgery is reconstruction and I'm excited for it. Good luck. Btw I was there Friday and there were three other people in the office he worked o. The same situation. I actually spoke to a girl that was finished and she was so happy with her results. There was another woman who was really sick almost dying and she swears he saved her life. He truly is awesome
October 27, 2015
So glad to hear that. I have two little girls that need there mama. Its what makes going into surgery this much scarier. But I know I'm in good hands and this is the only way to undo this. Thanks for all ur support ! I'll keep you posted
April 28, 2018
How are u now
February 12, 2019
What’s the total amount you paid including reconstructive surgery? I’m so scared for myself. Planning on seeing him o help me.
