I had always liked my nose, aside from my small bump, but this was never a real issue. It was beautiful. However, I broke my nose in sports; it caused the septum to deviate, as well as the cartilage to collapse on one side. Not only did this make my nose appear crooked, but my ability to breathe was horrible! I was afraid to get something done about it because I know many people are dissatisfied with their rhinoplasty and end up needing more work. The possibility of being able to breathe was my main motivator. I also wanted my nose to look the way it used to though and knew I could get the bump and anything else tweaked while the doctor was fixing the breathing. I'm a couple of weeks post-op now, and the results are spectacular. Despite all the swelling I still have inside and outside my nose, I can breathe better than I could before surgery! And my nose is straightened and beautiful again.

I went to consultations with 6 different plastic surgeons, the best I could find, in 3 different states. I was anxious because 2 of these plastic surgeons told me that what I hoped to get was too challenging and subtle to accomplish. I chose Dr. Epstein because he is also an ENT, has a surplus of experience, has tons of impressive cases posted online, and made me feel the most comfortable with his personality and level of professionalism. Furthermore, Dr. Epstein had a family emergency the day of my consult but still met with me before leaving because he knew I flew in from out of town. EVEN THEN, he was completely patient and understanding to my rather exhaustive list of questions! The *only* thing I would mention that's somewhat of a negative is to expect to see mostly his staff after surgery. His staff is great!! Seriously, very nice staff. I feel more at home with them than any other staff at a plastic surgery office wherein I've had routine checkups or work done. I'm just used to having the surgeon be the one who does stitches removal, etc. I get it though- He's busier than most and works in both FL and NY. He does still come in and answer my questions though. I don't have much to complain about, ha ha. I never had to sit in the waiting room once after the initial consultation. He is a very nice, ethical and realistic surgeon who achieves exceptional results and listens to what the patient wants. He really achieved everything that I wanted done.
