13 Months Post

Well I've waited a year for the full results and here they are!

I definitely feel like I need around round of transplants to the brows make them more full... As you can see in the front rows, there are only a few hairs..My right has more than the left but still not as full as I would like it.

I got to say I am somewhat disappointed. The overall shape is better for the most part and with make up they look fine but the main reason I got this procedure done was so I wouldn't have to fill them in everyday and that just isn't going to happen right now with in their current state.

Also- some hairs grow straight out or down and it is impossible to train them-You see this more in the left brow! I'm having to keep them very short, especially in front.
My right eyebrow looks much better than my left. The hairs are at a better angle (they lay flatter) and it is more full than the left. The left brow also has a few spots where multiple hairs are coming out from one incision and I read on another review that they are not supposed to do that. One more thing is that I do feel like I lost some of my own original hairs.

I'm sure the difference in the two brows is because two different people implanted each brow, one nurse on each side working at the same time to save time, i'm sure!...so with that...it is impossible for them to look exactly the same without having the same person doing each side. An oversight they certainly should think about considering how expensive the procedure is!

My eyelids look great for the most part however my eyes are not 100% even. You can see this in the corners of my eyes. My right eye looks like it had more skin removed then the left eye and the right corner is wider than my right. It also doesn't look as smooth where the line is almost a slight bend to the eyelid.
I'm sure this can be corrected but not sure how much it will cost. And to be honest- It's a huge pain in the ass- At least a 2 week recovery time + travel expenses..it wont be an easy fix.
I know these are somewhat minor things and most people probably wound not notice unless I point it out (hopefully) but I spent $11,500 and I am a little frustrated that the Doctor couldn't get it right the first time...

I am emailing the doctor these photos tomorrow along with my thoughts on the process so we will see what he says!!!

Update! 10/22/17

Hey ladies!

Sorry to keep ya waiting on an update.

Brows are growing in great. I am having to trim them quite a bit...I'd say once a week bc as you know, they grow long (and fast). A few are growing the wrong direction but for the most part they look great. I am still filling in a little bit but not like I used to. I could probably get away with not filling in at all but I guess I am just used to doing it.

Eyes: Ok, so there are some scars. One eye was definitely better than the other. Also, I need to contact the doctor bc in the corner of my eyes as you can see from these photos has a small indent. I know that is where my old eye lid used to connect and when my eyes are open, you really cant see it but I wonder what can be done about this? If anything?

Aside for that, Im extremely happy with my results. My husband keeps telling me how great my eyes look and that he's happy I did it. I think I look slightly different now but no one else seems to notice bc it is so subtle. I actually didnt tell a lot of people and no one has said anything so that is a plus! My husband says hes used to the new look now and forgets it even happened. I think im still adjusting a little but I really love it and Im glad I did it. I remember around this time last year I was hating my heavy eyelids..everytime I wore eyeliner my eyelid would just sit on top of it. I don't have that problem anymore! I am bright eyed!

The scars are really faint now and I hope the scars will go away more with time. Like I said before, one eye was definitely a cleaner incision as there is essentially no scar, my left eye is more noticeable but when my eyes are open you cannot see it at all as it is in the crease of my eye.

I stayed at the Epic hotel in Miami, as they are pet friendly and we brought our dog with us. Super nice place. Just make sure you eat before you take any pain medication when they wake you up. I didn't and the loratab made me nauseous..

At first it will be intense. You are having major surgery so you will swell and not wanna go out in public at first, I wore big hat and glasses for a week. We drove to the keys and stayed with my Dad 2 days after surgery. One week after surgery I had the stitches removed by a different doctor. She was really impressed by how tiny the surtures were and complimented my doctors work and said he did a great job.

After you get them removed you will probably feel like everyone knows but they dont. By this time the brows will start to be crusting over and fall out which is probably more noticeable than the eyelids were.

Fast forward to now, I am so happy I did it. It seems like it was so long ago now and I too sometimes forget it ever happened. It's a journey but it goes by quick. :) Best of luck!

Eyelids!

Super happy with my upper bleph surgery right now. Wearing eyeliner for the first time post and actually being able to see my eyelid is awesome! Here are a couple before and after pictures where you can really see the difference.
