The journey to choosing the right Plastic Surgeon for my breast lift plus implants...meeting Dr. Tal Roudner and Dr. Ary Krau
I'm sure some of you are as confused as I was upon meeting a few of Miami's top rated surgeons- Dr. Tal Roudner, Dr. Ary Krau, and of course Dr. Hochstein. For me the question was who would be the best surgeon for my procedure, the BL/BA.
First, I'll say a few words about the 2 surgeons I didn't choose. Firstly, Dr. Tal Roudner was super informative and attentive. It's actually a funny story I had to take my 2 year old son going through his very terrible 2's to the consultation cause my babysitter wasn't available last minute and I didn't want to reschedule. It turns out, my baby sat with me through the entire consult and actually ended up behaving. Dr. Tal Roudner gave us a mini-class about implants and breast lifts lol...my poor baby. He was extremely thorough in his explanation. He measured my breasts, and also recommended a full anchor lift to get the best result. He seemed very meticulous even to the point he uses a funnel to insert the implant which an extra $100 so he never touches the implant, for less risk of infection, I suppose. I've heard he takes his time and does good work. His price was very reasonable around $6000. The downside was he had less pictures available than for example Dr. Hochstein.
Dr. Ary Krau was also pleasant with good bedside manner. His pictures also seem to show very good results. He explained that he has a technique of putting less strain on scars therefore getting better results on scarring by reworking the muscle around the implant. The implant is held by muscle and less strain on skin and sutures. According to him this is unique to him and less surgeons do this "reworking of the muscles" and the other surgeons mostly rework and cut skin on the lifts. I don't know to what extent i really could verify this since I am not a surgeon lol can muscle be manipulated like that without it being extremely painful..hmm, i don't know. Anyways, he seems to have good results as well. However, at the end, his office quoted me a much higher price. And since I'm on Real Self quite a lot when I compared other patients of his paid much less then what I was quoted, I didn't like that so much...

I'm writing my personal story hoping that it can...
I'm writing my personal story hoping that it can bring some clarity, inspire, someone; and also, simply because I think this is a brilliant and candid forum for women seeking to better themselves.
Growing up in one of the plastic surgery capitals of the US lol, Miami, I've been considering this surgery for over 15 years. As I inherited from my mom, she had breasts that were fuller on the bottom (less fullness on top) and overall saggier. As I moved through my early 20's I saw my breasts change and develop. I grew from an A cup to a B cup and then to a C cup mostly thanks to hormonal changes and the pill. Some days in the month I was smaller and other days much larger. So, my problem really is not really that I'm flat chested just not as full or high as I wished. I've always appreciated curves on a woman and I certainly always wanted fuller breasts.
However, then the trade off...breast lift? Scars? In order to get the look I like, then I consulted many of the best doctors in Miami. Some advised that I could get away with just an implant since I wanted to avoid scars primarily. But then I'd run the risk of sagging a lot more due to weight. One doctor, even convinced me not to do anything and just wait to have kids. Fast forward to present, I had a child, my breasts grew which I loved but then shrunk a little (even though not completely deflated) but still not as high, full, or as much cleavage as I want.
So, after seeing a handful of doctors which I want to mention later-the consensus was if I wanted that upper pole fullness, cleavage, and especially a higher positioned breast I would be able to achieve it only with a full mastopexy (breast lift lollipop with anchor) and the trade off is the scarring :(
However, I want to remain positive that I will pray for good healing, do my best with post op care, invest in good scar treatments, and stay clear from the sun.
