2 years post op
I am very happy with my results still. I do have keloids along the scar line under my breast and around my nipples but that has nothing to do with anything going wrong, its just genetics for me. I have gotten keloids with all my scars my whole life. I hate them don't get me wrong but it was a risk I when I got them done. I am still embossed about my scars because I had a life too - but what can you do, right?

Day of surgery - that HURT!!! The RN was getting on my nerves!!!
I asked for pain meds and zoo ran for nausea, I have IBS and had not had meds due to being NPO and she was so mean about it.
Now granted I may have not been the nicest at the moment because I was in pain, chest hurt like hell, disoriented, couldn't talk properly because when I did talk my sternum felt like a truck was sitting on it and as a nurse she should have known that.
She kept telling me to get up and get dressed because another pt was coming out and I needed to be out before they came out.
WTF! This is a 6 bed post op area with curtains to seclude pt's. I told her I needed to lay here for a bit and she said I had already been back there for 30 mins and I had to go. I didnt know how long i was there because I was still asleep from anesthesia. Now if I was able to I would have told her about herself especially considering I'm a nurse too.
My husbands brings in my meds for IBS but they were difficult to take due to extreme nausea.
When I was given my prescriptions I requested more zofran because I knew beforehand the nausea would be extreme and I spoke to the RN about this before surgery. As an RN it is your responsibility to create a plan of care individual to each pt and I believe she failed to do so.
When given my meds I could not keep them down and spit them back up. I did not throw them up I just spit them back into the cup.
The nurse took it upon herself to try to put my clothes on so I could go.....according to her. I kicked my feet to get her off of me and she became upset and just left the room, which was a good idea because I was starting to REALLY not like her.
After 30 mins I was beginning to feel like I was able to get in the wheelchair and go which was all I wanted in the first place was to lay down and let the pain meds and nausea meds to kick in.
A different staff member helped and I was very grateful to her. She was warm, sweet, understanding and comforting.

Real Housewives of Miami, LOL!!! At first I thought he was a rude and conceited but I liked that b/c I work in the medical field and i find a lot of MD's that are rude are amazing at what they do but fast-foward to the procedure, he was so freaking nice. My boobs are beautiful and he through in free Botox. Love him! Going back for tummy tuck later this year.
