Decision
I've always been very small chested. Im 5'8 and weigh 128lbs and I wear a 34B, but it's mostly for decoration. I'm really a 34A, but it makes my breasts look way too small in clothes. I've had two consults over 5 years, and I've always wanted a BA, I just wasn't sure on timing. I made it all the way to 27 with my small breasts and got married to my best friend this year. Part of me wanted to wait until after kids for the BA, but I'm very career focussed (business professional) and hubby and I agreed to wait at least 5 years before we try for kids.

Arranagements
In Canada I couldn't find a local surgeon who specialized in BAs and gave me 100% confidence in their abilities and that I felt was decent value. Through ratemymd and realself I learned about Dr. Hochstein in Miami. I emailed some photos to his office and setup a phone consult. He was very straight to the point, he doesn't have to sell himself, his quality and satisfied patients speak for themselves. I liked his direct approach. His office emailed me a quote and I put down a deposit, booked flights for hubby and I and picked a date. We decided on silicone implants under the muscle with a periareolar incision. His office staff was very quick to respond to all emails leading up to confirmation.

Pre sugery
I packed as light as I could and brought all shirts that button or zip in the front as you can't extend your arms upward after surgery. I was dissappointed the Dr's office wouldn't send my the prescriptions before the flight, because I could have filled the antibiotics, pain, sleeping and nausea medication prescriptions in Canada for free as I have insurance. However, in Miami, CVS wouldn't accept my insurance, and the bill was around $180 out of pocket.

I had my first in person consult the day before surgery where I got to try on different sizes. My goal was to become a full C (From a tiny A). The Dr suggested I try on 371CC and 339CC. I chose 371, because I knew I would always wonder if I should have gone bigger. We did wait over an hour for this apt, which wasn't impressive especially after flying across the continent and getting there on time. However, his staff are wonderful and I really appreciated all of their efforts and kind words. The anathesiologist was also wonderful. He called the night before surgery to see if I had any questions and reassure me of the whole process.

Day of surgery
I arrived at 7:45am and was taken in right away. Hubby was with me when I got the IV. I was warned that when you wake up you're often cold and may be shivering, and it's recommended to wear socks into surgery. I was then walked into the surgery room, which was very bright and cold. The anathesiologist was charming and we chatted briefly before I was under.

Post surgery
Waking up I could feel the weight on my chest, but honestly it wasn't that uncomfortable. As expected I was a little cold and shivering. Keep in mind, I've never had children and I wasn't sure how my pain tolerance would be. The Dr obviously knows what he's doing, because was I sore... yes, but not more more than if I had done an intense upper body workout. Two nurses helped me get dressed, but me in a wheelcar and wheeled me outside, where hubby was waiting in car to pick me up. I was able to walk from the chair to the car, and later from the car to our hotel.

The anaesthesia makes you nauseaus and combined with tbe painkillers (oxycodone) makes you even more nauseaus. Drink as much water as you can after surgery to get the anasthesia out if your system asap. Unfortunately I vommitted a couple times and was a bit groggy after surgery. Day 1 after surgery I also stayed in the hotel room all day,  but I cut waay back on the painkillers. Not only did they make me nauses, but I couldnt even pee, let alone a #2. I started talking 1/4 pills instead of whole pills, and this felt OK for me, plus I could pee again.

Post op follow up (2 days after surgery)
The Dr. saw me on time again.
I had all bandaging removed and this hurt a bit. Imagine tape being pulled off your newly stretched breasts... I was pretty impressed with the results though. Yes they were very high as expected this early, but the size was great and they looked perfectly symmetrical, the Dr. had to lower the crease on one side to achieve this. I found out during the procedure the Dr. Actually went with 421CC in both sides. He must have used his expert opinion to determine my body could accomodate more, to bring me closer to my desired result of full C, which is absolutely fine with me.
I was also told to start massaging my breasts daily effective immediately.
I was given clearance to fly back to Canada and asked to send post op pics in 2-3 weeks.

Of course it's too early to see results, but my experience so far with the Dr, the surgery in general and recovery has greatly exceeded my expectations.

Good luck to all of you and please let me know if you have any questions on my experience.

Xoxo
