Hello all,
After debating with myself for almost 2 years now, I have decided to proceed with my BBL. I wanted a doctor that specializes in BBLs with a proven track record. After many months of research, I found my surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Fisher. Now, I was leary due to reviews of customer service issues from his staff, the location of the facility, and the unfortunate deaths by other doctors from the same facility. But after reading realself reviews and viewing before and after pics, I feel confident with Dr. Fisher's talent. I am a very private person but so many of you ladies have helped me with my decision to have this surgery by offering valuable tips, advice, and critiques by sharing your story. So I would like to pay it forward! Plus it'll be nice to record my journey for me to review later. Looking forward to May! #newbooty

Yes, I really like my coordinator, Margaret, she's very helpful. If she doesn't know the answer she'll find someone who does. I'll probably stay at a hotel with the help of my nurse sisters to help with my recovery. Any suggestions???

I'm currently searching for a hotel now! I actually spent hours last night on TripAdvisor! My mom is coming with me and taking a week off of work so I'm trying to find a hotel with a balcony and a view (she will be on cloud 9 just sitting there all day lol) so that's the struggle for me. I don't want to spend my life savings but I don't want to stay in a 1 star dump! Have you asked your coordinator a lot of questions? I feel like a pest....I've emailed her once with a few questions and others I'm just trying to research myself!

I did a lot of research beforehand and I complied a list of questions that I asked right away. The preop email was pretty straightforward. My surgery is scheduled on Monday so I have to arrive Sat before 12p. That's a headache due to flight scheduling and extra hotel days $$$. I guess I can enjoy Miami before my surgery. I'll be the designated driver for my sisters lol

Haha I'm doing the same! My mom and I will fly in Saturday only because flights for some reason are ridiculously high that sunday and ends up being cheaper to just come in Saturday. I told her I guess we will have a mini vacation before we get down to business. My sx is Tuesday. I'm not sure how you feel about the whole airbnb but after searching for hotels with a good view for the moms while I'm recovering I decided to check out airbnb and its going to save me about 3-4 hundred bucks! Just an option!

Oh my! As my bbl date approaches all the little cost are adding up quickly. I'm debating if I should get the cell saver bc I'm not 100% sold on the benefits as well as if the risks out way these benefits.
Also I found these vitamins from VitaMedica and I've reached out to Margaret who referred me to Ana but I have yet to get the ok to take these vitamins per the directions.
Has anyone else heard that patients have to bring their own gauze and abd pads to the actual surgery bc Eres doesn't supply the essential items?

What are the risks of cell saver?

My main concern is the washing process. Since, the blood is mixed with fat, how much fat is left within the blood after washing it? What's the risk of fat embolism?

BACKGROUND:
Fat embolism is a possible risk factor for pulmonic and cerebral dysfunction after orthopedic and heart surgery. It is unknown whether fat occasionally observed during cell salvage adds to the risk of fat embolism after retransfusion. We have examined the fat removal capacities of different cell salvage devices including discontinuous and a continuous system under various conditions.
STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS:
In an experimental study ABO-matched banked blood was adjusted to a hematocrit of 20%, and 1.25% of human fat was added. This blood was processed with the cell salvage devices XTRA and Electa, CATS, or Cell Saver 5 plus. Fat in the blood samples was quantified by volumetric measurement after centrifugation in Pasteur pipettes and by gravimetric measurement after extraction of fat in organic solvents and phase partition. Performance in fat removal was tested with different programs, bowl sizes, and additional filtration.
RESULTS:
The continuous system consistently showed a high fat removal rate of 99.8 ± 0.2%. Fat accumulated in the wash disposal, but not in the product. In the Latham bowl-based discontinuous systems, fat removal varied from 69.2 to 92.8 ± 4.4% depending on the program mode, but not on the bowl size. Additional filtration increased fat removal to 96.7 ± 2.2%, but also increased red blood cell loss.
CONCLUSIONS:
Fat contamination of wound blood can be detected by volumetric and gravimetric measurements. Continuous salvage systems remove fat to a higher extent than discontinuous systems. The fat removal capacities of discontinuous systems depend on the program mode and can be improved by filtration.

I'm having the hardest time deciding what i want..i want projection but not Nikki Minaj. I think I want lateral but i do not want to be wide. I know I want my waist small and stomach flat

I feel the same I don't want "a big ol' ghetto booty" ...a need hips more but I do want projection.
User Avatar

Same here! But I'm scared if I ask for a natural look that I won't get enough projection. Decided Ill ask for bigger to be on the safe side. What is lateral?
May 10, 2017
Lateral as in the sides?? Like lipo from our lateral abdomen?
