I've always had a boxy (boyish) figure. Kind of muscular build (grew up tomboy). After maturing, in looking for a curvier appearance. I'm not a size 2 or 4 (no offense to anyone who is), but I'm an average size woman (about a size 10). I've been a lot thinner, but when I lose weight I lose my boobs and any curve I do have. I'm happy with my size, just would like to be better proportioned. I'm not looking for a miracle or tummy tuck results, but I'm hoping to get rid of love handles/ abdominal fat and back fat to create a bit of a smaller waists, and get a fuller butt and a little added curve to hips. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Met with Dr.Tachmes today for pre-op. I like his demeanor and bedside Manor. Really easy to talk with and knowledgeable. Experienced and seems detail oriented. The staff (S/O to Camille and Belkis) is really awesome. They go over and beyond. Well it's prayer time, surgery tomorrow... To be continued...

Surgery went very well, but rough day!
boxy2foxyJuly 4, 2014
I tell you what, I'm grateful that I found this site prior to surgery because I knew what to expect. Surgery went well. The staff at Dr.Tachnes's office were great as usual. As I said before I'm kind of a muscular chick (underneath the fat) but nurse said that they could tell I was in shape by the quality of the fat in so many words. I believe she said he was able to extract around 1300cc of fat cells to use and they were only able to inject 550cc because that's all my frame would hold. To be honest I'm very happy with that amount because I wanted lift and shape, not a huge butt. I think this size is going to be perfect for me and my goal! I'm happy, but yesterday was rough!
Woke up from anesthesia a little scared and shaky (I'd read about the shakes). The nurse comforted me and let me know everything went great. Thank God hotel was only a few blocks away because I basically crawled into the back of a Taxi van and was on my knees bent over the back seat until I got to the hotel. My hotel stay wasn't a good experience (and I'm not a complainer) but at least they tried to do what they could to make up for the problems. After getting to hotel the draining started! Omg, they weren't kidding when they said there'd be alot of drainage. Soaked through lots of pads very frequently. It isn't that bad except for the fact that you have to change them so frequently which sucks because of the already tight as Heck garment you are wearing! The amount freaked out my best friend (who has been an awesome nurse for me). By the way, if u are considering trying to do this alone, think again! There was no way I could have done that!
The pain is actually bearable. Yeah I hurt as expected, but for me having this surgery done is nothing that's not definately worth the pain. I've been taking one percocet as prescribed. It made me sick a bit with the first dose. I didn't get nauseated, but get very lightheaded and hat flashy, etc. I hope to be off the prescription stuff by tomorrow.
Trying to get out of bed for first 6 hours or so sucked because I felt so lightheaded each time I had to lay back down. Once I finally could get up, I peed in a cup next to the bed with the aid of my best friend because I couldn't make it to the bathroom. Sorry I know that's gross but I hope that helps someone in the future in that predicament. After that, I gradually was able to move about without nearly passing out.
For whatever reason, I couldn't sleep well. Didn't get to sleep until almost 6am. My back really hurts when I lay on my stomach, but this is my chronic backache escalated, not related to surgery I don't think. Plus I've had trouble sleeping for about the past week. I hope to sleep better tonight.
This is post op day one and I feel better, not worse overall. Can't wait to get in the shower which I'll do later this afternoon. Want to wait full 24 hours.
I can see my shape has improved alot. I know I'm swollen as Heck, but I'm excited to see results in a couple weeks, it has to get better from here.
Glad I did this! I'll post pics later.
