26 Yr. Old (NO Kids) Getting BBL with Dr. Stover 6/27/17

This is a much needed post to explain and share everything that I have learned so far...
I have put a $500 deposit to schedule my BBL + 12 area liposuction procedure with Dr. Stover in Miami, FL. @ Imagenes on June 27th. Although I am crazy nervous, everything has been okay so far with the facility. I will say that my coordinator who I've been dealing with at Imagenes (Patty) has been extremely helpful, sweet, and re-assuring through it all. The first day I spoke with her, she stayed on the phone with me for over 2 hours! LOL
Even though you do have to stay on top of things (like many people have mentioned) to get confirmation emails, invoices, etc. from the facility, so far they have stood by their word to complete all tasks.
** I will suggest that if anyone is thinking of doing their procedure at this facility with ANY of the Doctors contracted there, I have learned to stick with ONLY ONE COORDINATOR! You will have numerous people call you until you make a deposit, or even shortly after you make a deposit to follow up on your inquiry. NO MATTER WHAT, stay with the first and original person you deal with because if you don't, information tends to change, pricing can change, and you'll have to explain yourself again and again...so not worth the stress.
Although there aren't many pictures that have been posted of Dr. Stover's work, I have read many of the reviews that ladies have posted on here and Health Grades, and I've also looked at the main facility that she works for and their before and after pictures. I've also received pictures per request from Imagenes of her work as well. She is American Board Certified of PLASTIC SURGERY (I CONFIRMED THIS DIRECTLY WITH THE BOARD SITE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!) since there are only 2 or 3 other doctors in that facility that are currently certified specifically in plastic surgery...(It does make a difference). Stover also has affiliations with Mercy Hospital, which only certain doctors can achieve this affiliation through specific and correct credentials.
A little bit about myself:
I live in Florida...I'm in North Florida (Jacksonville Area). I'm currently 26 years old with no kids. 5'6" and currently weigh 165. I lost 50 pounds about 6 or 7 years ago which left me with a hot mess of a body....After this procedure, I will be getting a breast lift and silicone implants in February 2018. Obviously wanted a nice waist and butt to go with the boobs, so I've decided to do this procedure first.
I've hired Nurse Kenya with BoldnBeautifulRS to come help me in the airbnb location for the first 48 hours. Kenya has been super helpful, honest, and so sweet. I haven't even met her in person, but she makes you feel so comfortable right off the first conversation. My husband will also be with me for the entire week that we will be staying in Miami as well (June 26th - July 3rd).
MyBodyContour will be doing my post-op lymphatic massages starting the day after surgery. I have bought the package of 5 massages and they will be done every day after the procedure until I leave.
I'm hoping that there are ladies out there that will be staying in Miami the same time as me, since this whole thing is kind of scary...I plan on staying @ an Airbnb place...I haven't booked a place yet, but I've looked at entire houses that have 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, where i was thinking that if anyone would be interested in splitting the cost and bringing in your own nurse, we can just share a house....it would be allot cheaper in the end then a recovery home...Let me know if anyone is interested.
I'll keep you all posted and will look out for any ladies that are interested in sharing a place or just talking so we aren't doing this by ourselves.

Been buying all the necessary items for post surgery: Dresses, yoga pants, lg. gauze pads, bed pads, arnica gel, compression socks, antiseptic soap, etc.

Getting excited but nervous at the same time. Got 41 Days left until I leave for Miami =)

So last week I receive a phone call from the manager of the pre-op department @ the new Jolie (Old Imagenes) to tell me that Dr. Stover wouldn't be available for the date of my surgery and that I could keep the same date and special price ($3500) for the surgery if I would change to Dr. Valls or I could pay more for a different doctor or get a refund. I asked if it was just that day that Dr. Stover was not available and then they inform me that Dr. Stover no longer practices at the facility AT ALL.

I'm sorry but I do not feel comfortable getting surgery from Dr. Valls because he isn't Board Certified in Plastic Surgery, and in the state of Florida you don't legally have to be certified in plastic surgery to actually practice plastic surgery! you can be certified in dermatology and conduct surgery...so I'm not going to take the chance...

With that being said, I requested a refund that they say can take up to 21 days to receive...which is crazy in my opinion...then shortly after that, they change names...so weird!!

I think the constant changing names is honestly trying to hide something...but that is just me...Good Luck to all!! I've decided that I'd rather pay more money and get things done correct the first time then have to get procedures done more then once or worse, put my life on the line.
