So I'm currently looking to get 2 procedures done....

So I'm currently looking to get 2 procedures done. I'm wanting a Breast Augmentation and Brazilian butt lift done. Before I had kids, I was very active. I was in the military and in great shape. I've always had small breasts though, and wanted to get bigger ones since I was 18. But being in the military, a boob job just didn't seem practical. So I waited. When I got out of the Army I got pregnant shortly after. So I waited again. I turned 30 this month, I've got 2 beautiful babies (and we've decided were done), and my youngest has FINALLY been weaned off my boobs. Yayyy! Lol
So now it's me time! When I first set out on this cosmetic surgery journey, I was only looking to get my boobs done. But I keep seeing allllll these other procedures and I keep getting sucked down this rabbit hole. Haha! I've now convinced myself I need a BBL too. Who knows... maybe next year I'll do something different. ????

But anyways, back to the current. I've been searching and reading through tons of reviews. This site has been a lot of help! I even went through a phase where I was seriously considering going to DR for my procedures. But, ultimately I decided staying state side would be best for me and my family.
Now I have 2 different doctors I've picked for different procedures. I did this out of convenience. My husband is still active duty so working around his schedule can be difficult. I originally wanted both procedures done by Dr. Calva in Miami, FL. But I would have to go back twice as he won't do both procedures at the same time. I live in Ga, and though it's not terribly far, it's still very inconvenient to do it twice, especially when you have small kids.
Since I have some family in Atlanta, I've decided to look for a doctor for my breast procedure around there. I've got a consult with Dr. Colgrove in a couple of days. He's got great reviews on this site, and his work looks great. I was hoping to get my boobs done early 2017 while my husband was away for training (and before my sisters wedding) then do the BBL later.

I'm excited to get this ball rolling. My husband thinks I've become obsessed because all I do it seems is look at pictures/reviews of butts and boobs all the time. Lol

I'm looking to schedule my breast procedure in February, maybe even January if I can get in that early, then my BBL in June. It'll be our 6 year anniversary in June, so we were thinking of going to FL, spending a few days just us, and at the end of our trip, get my big butt. Haha! Will keep on updating as I continue my journey.

I'm actually seeingredients Dr. Calva in Miami for the BBL and was quoted 3500, for the breast procedure I'm going with Dr. Colgrove in Atlanta and was quoted 4000 for silicone. I think it was 3500 for saline though, and then 4500 for the new ideal saline implant. The Ideal saline implant seems interesting to me, so I'll decide which for sure during my consult with Dr.Colgrove on Jan. 2. I'll update again after!

Consult with Dr.Colgrove (Atlanta) complete, SURGERY BOOKED!

Sooo, I had my consultation with Dr. Colgrove on Jan. 2. My husband was able to join me at this appointment. Dr. Colgrove's office was nice, very clean, and his staff were friendly and informative. I did a 3D photo, watched an informative video (not quite as informative for me as I've been researching breast augmentations for almost a year now lol), plus there were books of before and afters done by the doctor and sample implants to look over in the room.

Now I originally went in looking to get silicone implants. I had felt them before, and for obvious reasons liked how they felt over the saline. BUT Dr. Colgrove also offers the new saline implant called IDEAL. It's a multiple walled saline implant that's supposed to combat the many issues that can arise with the older saline implants (rippling and bounce being my main concern). My husband also got a little freaked out hearing about ruptures and slow leaks with silicone. Ultimately, the PS was confident that I'd get the look and feel I want with the IDEAL and I liked the added safety of saline. I also had a hard time choosing a size. My husband is overly afraid I'm going to go too big and look unproportionate... and I didn't want to go to small and basically waste time and money to still not be happy..so I kept second guessing myself. I finally settled on a 455cc implant filled to 495cc. I'm doing under the muscle, so PS advised that you lose about 25cc projection with under the muscle. So my overall look should be around 470cc.

My pre-op is Scheduled for Jan 24, SX day is Feb. 3. I am sooo beyond excited. And...nervous. But mostly excited.

Also...Still trying to book my BBL with Dr. Calva later this year. I'm thinking late June for that one.

I got the Ideal implant and LOVE it so far. My boobs are feeling so great!! Squishy but perky and round without looking super fake. I am 31 and a Mom of 2 as well; and so far I've been happy with my decision. I only wish I had went a little bigger!

Lab results are back!

Got some of my lab results back and everything looks great so far. Hemoglobin and iron levels are great. Only thing missing is my thyroid and "bleeding time" tests. My lab tech said bleeding time was a super outdated test but he did something equivalent to modern day medicine lol. Hopefully it all works out. I'm super excited my iron and hemo was great though. I was more nervous about the iron add I have tested low in the past for it.

But yayyy! One step closer. Less than 20 days until my pre-op! ????????????

Congratulations on your lab results !! I've never heard of a bleeding test and I stalk RS about every day. Can you tell me a little more ? Is every doc required to do this ?

Lol I don't think every doc is required to do this test. Actually, I had a hard time getting it done because it is such an old fashioned test. My PS has been doing this for nearly 30 years, so I think some of his verbiage/tests are a little outdated. You're doc may or may not require it. I ended up finding a place that did what they called a Protein S Function test. It's used to determine how much Protein S is in your body as Protein S helps prevent blood clotting. Hope this helps!

Iron may be low right after your period.
