Your nose still looks good. What do you want to do to your nostrils?
Thanks foxy :). I have thought about the sides taken in slightly. My surgeons took my nostrils in, inwardly/towards the bottom of my nose (if that makes sense), rather than removing a piece of skin from the side of each nostril, along the grove of the cheek. I have thought about having them taken in using the latter technique. I may not though, since I'm pretty satisfied overall.
It looks perfect! I have my revision with Dr. Boahene.

Thanks for updating your pics. I was going to go with Dr. Pielet also. Nearly two years ago I sent my pics to the office and the Office Manager never really followed up. I also had a consult scheduled that they canceled two days prior. It just seemed no matter what our dates and schedules conflicted. So.....wrote that off as maybe I should look elsewhere. I did want to go with him because he (with maybe three other docs) do great work on AA pts. You nose looks great.
Omg I just read that he passed away in January 2014. May God bless his family and those people that he touched through his work, art and passion. He was truly a talented man.
Wow I was just about to answer your previous post, when I saw this. That is crazy, and so sad and unfortunate :-(. I didn't even know he was sick, but may he rest in peace. He definitely was very talented surgeon and I am truly grateful for the work he did for me.
I want to thank you for sharing your story. I live in California and I'm having a REALLY difficult time finding a surgeon that is qualified in African American noses. There are plenty in the Beverly Hills/So Cal area but they are way out of my budget. Anyway, Thanks!!
Your welcome, I was hoping it would be helpful :-) But I totally understand, It took me several years to finally find a surgeon. My budget was definitely a factor in my decision. I know out West surgery is more expensive, have you thought about traveling out of state?
Yes, I actually went to the Dominican Republic for a tummy tuck and lipo in December of last year. I'am looking into Florida because they seem to be a bit cheaper. I just wanted to keep it closer to home just in case but I'm so desperate at this point I'll go wherever. By the way, your nose looks great!!!
I saw your review, your early results look great! But yea, travel costs can definitely add on costs of doing the procedure. That's actually one of the reasons why I choose Pielet over Boehene. It was actually cheaper going to FL then the Baltimore area, believe it or not. But thanks so much! I am really glad I did it. I hope that you will find someone really good on the West Coast that isn't crazy expensive!

It's been a long time since I updated. I am pretty close to being 9 months post and it seems like so long ago I did the surgery. At this point, I would say I am happy with my nose and I don't regret having the procedure AT ALL. The only thing, I am thinking about tweaking is my nostrils, and that's a pretty painless procedure from what I've heard. Other than that, all is good.
