40 yr old, Breast Lift with high profile silicone Implants, 5'4

hey hon..... been thinking about you ......my mother reminded me that my first set a few long years back was a tough recovery...my kids were small also......think I cried every day.....every time I set up in the morning I felt like hot lava was running into my breast....also my right breast felt like it had a thumping headache in it......for a few weeks and then one day it just stopped......have you tried laying on a heating pad for 20 minutes two or three times a day ......I've been doing that for my back because I have to stay hunched over and my back muscles kill me......good luck tomorrow at your check up.....explain in detail where your hurting and how much.....btw.....after I said I was never taking this tape off .....half of it fell off when I removed my bra
that night......dang karma...

So I'm now fully convinced that the posts about how recovery is really no big deal are definitely just implants without a lift. I'm calling shenanigans right along with you!!
It's rough and I feel like we're either the minority in healing, or maybe we just got the [RS bleep] end of the stick...I don't know, but I feel your pain...literally!
Please keep me posted with how you make out at your post-op appointment. Do you have drains too? I feel like those are just adding another level to the misery...

Thanks so much for sharing this. It's so valuable to know that it's not all easy and fabulous for everyone, and I really don't think your experience is all that uncommon.

I assume your doctor didn't give you any heavy duty pain meds? I was all over that (not a lift, but a revision from over muscle to under, so two pockets to heal). If you have them don't be stingy with them. If you don't please ask your PS for some.

I really do think that the physical pain can impact your emotional and mental state and it hits a kind of downward spiral :(.

I am sorry you're having a tough time. I felt the same way, like I was being punished for being vain and all I wanted was to feel normal again. For a while I didn't care what they turned out to look like, as long as I felt normal again. It was about month 2 that I felt good most of the day, with only a harder time at night and a day here and there that were tough. By the third month I felt normal most of the time. I'm at 6 months out and having to go back this Thursday to have implants replaced due to CC in both. Everyone says this time will be much easier, and it has to be, because no lift this time... but I am still nervous to find out my true recovery "back to normal" time. Anyhow, just know you will feel better! You will. Try not to let the depression take over.

Well if it makes you feel better I got just an augmentation my first go around and I was in so much pain I couldn't even shower or bathe until after seven days and I didn't eat either I barely left my bed u will feel better! Have u been taking the vitamins they recommended for healing? I think it's two iron pills a day? They look great I can't wait to get mine done by him!

They now sell electric pulse patches. Same company that sells those stick on heat patches. They work! I use them now instead of the heat. I've bought them at Target and Walgreens but I'm sure any store that carries the heat packs carries those.

I'm having sharp pains in my right breast too wtf?? Lol
Do you think the pains in your back are from the position you're sleeping in? I'm having terrible cramping in my lower back and in my neck and I'm assuming it's from sleeping almost upright. Feel better soon xo

awe...girl .....I know how you feel.....im a week ahead of you .....and just rolled out of bed.....after waking up on my favorite side....even though I placed pillows on each side to stay on my back......and......bammmm.......hot heavy lava....I kind of did a drunken/stagger towards the sink and held on....I noticed yesterday the upper square look disappearing so it could be the dropping....however.....tonight im going to sleep with a hot dog...lol....or rolled gauze between them.....to answer your questions....yes....I flew four states into sunny isles and stayed two weeks......rented a two bedroom condo and brought my brother, sister, husband came second week.....I finally took a lot of pics on day 9 and im planning on doing a profile thingy...but thought I should wait till maybe a month or so.....right now im thrilled....but....I know my info might influence others and I want to be truthful .....there was a gal that got a lift with implants with dr. h here on realself....she wore two/three bras together for six months because she wanted no drop...ha...that is some serious commitment ....however ....after 20 years with saggy boobs I kind of feel the same way.....the Victoria secrets bra I found has about an inch of padding on the bottom .....sits off the under stitching/scar.......and covers complete side boob.... incasing them in the position I would like my final result to be.....called Victoria secret push up /pigeonnant 36 dd.....it has a round vs gold emblem in front center.......2nd choice...racerback semi demi with front closure also incases total breast.....with a little less lift if your wanting more dropping.....easy to put on......right now im wearing my comfy bra with my surgical bra over 95 percent of the time......but boobs look ugly in that get up....so I put my vs bras on for couple hours a day with a tight t-shirt...lol....when I run out for a bit..............pain....dr. h gave me 15 extra pain pills.....I break them in half .....I was taking I at night.....call the office and explain im sure they would assist.....also Tylenol/or Excedrin pm gives me 8 solid hours of sleep...... try Aleve maybe during the day.....it does get better.....I am pain free now.....0.....pain......except for the 10 seconds when I sat up in bed this morning........and I had the tt and lipo too....disclaimer....(.except for when I sneeze)....ha...if you want pics/inbox me and ill send from my phone...I cant figure this uploading thing out without hubby....all he wanted to do was sight see and we flew back yesterday......hope your feeling better and pain is subsiding....oh question....is your tape starting to peal off yet?
