36, Mommy Makeover, "Great Decision I Ever Made" - Miami, FL

First and foremost I am a provider I treat patients everyday..I consulted with Dr. Salama and Cynthia Perez for over a year about my surgery, I was very confident that I was having liposuction with fat transfer, but Dr. Salama advised against. I arrived 1 day ahead of time and at completed a face to face evaluation and ask for Dr. Salama professional opinion about what I needed, he recommended mommy makeover. After debating and crying I agreed to his recommendation, based on his expertise in the area. I stayed in the Recovery house which was not for me, sorry but it was not my type of environment, neighborhood. On a positive note the staff were very nice and I meet many great people from every where. My driver was Larry whom was a good driver but he was very busy , and that is another detailed story I will not get into but it worked out, Dr. Salama took care of me like I was family. Now back to my surgery. I had some complications with my skin not healing and had to stay longer than expected, I was out of work > 6 weeks. My skin was not healing around the belly button area , which is a rare complication. Now I was very upset, praying and asking God had I made the right decision. Dr. Salama called me everyday, evaluated me in person, in office visit and/or surgical unit visit everyday, one on one time, some of my visits lasted > 2 hours and he completed wound care, feed my and cared for my like I was his family. I WILL TELL ANYONE READING THIS, I HAVE WORKED WITH SURGEONS, THEY DO NOT DO THIS. THIS MAN IS A GIFT FROM GOD IN HIS AREA OF EXPERTISE. He made me feel so comfortable. We have remained in contact the entire time, i continue to send him pictures. He has always responded to my text and always had encouraging words. I will never do plastic surgery any where else and I have referred over 50 people to his office. He may not be the best, I don't know but his bedside manners speak volumes for his work.
Also, I love this clinic all the support staff (especially his RN) and Dr. Salama..Thank you so much for all you do and your handwork, you are so appreciated and you are a blessing to so many.. So appreciative for Dr. Salama he changed my life literally. Posting all this on the Elite Plastic Surgery Page......Love you all.....

I started many years ago contemplating the mommy makeover. After years of research a narrowed my selection down to 2 surgeons. Finally I decided on Dr. Salama based on pricing, his reviewing, and pictures. I fly in on a Wed. July 30 to meet the Dr. for a final consult. I was trying to decide on the BBL or the mommy makeover. Although I had a consult via email it was best to let the doctor give me his professional opinion in person. My surgery was completed on Aug. 1, lasted about 5-6 hours for the mommy makeover. This was the most painful event I have ever encountered. As a medical provider I treat pain, and this pain was an eyeopener. I stayed at the recovery house, I do not recommend staying here. The house was full and the ladies working the house are very nice but the surgery I had required more one on one care. Also, I had some complications and needed assistance and felt that I was to much for the ladies to manage. I was about a 180 Ibs prior to surgery and the ladies working the recovery house are very small framed, and unable to manage a total care patient, trust and believe I was total care for days and you will be also. It cost 2000 to stay in the house and the food is not good, they don't have necessary items that they should to be considered a recovery, (surgery) house.
Now back to Dr. Salama, he is awesome. He monitored me everyday I was in Florida, he made sure that my Driver whom was Larry took me to see him daily to treat and manage my skin, which had formed a blister in the belly button area and had begin turning red and inflamed beneath it. After returning home he corresponded with me via phone daily for a week. I am currently still under his care because I was unable to wear my garment related to skin complications for a week and still have a drain in place, which is the worst part of the procedure...I will say this, I wish I would have had the BBL as planned, but as a medical provider I ask for the professional opinion of the MD. It was his opinion that I do the Tummy Tuck and return for the BBL. After the complications that I had, don't know if I made the right decision. Please take someone with you if possible, I traveled by air from NC. When I arrived was left at the airport by Justin the first and only driver, for the recovery house.
When I asked if this was to be excepted he had an attitude with me and refused to transport me any further, so I was stressed out, started crying because I was sort of upset, did not know what I had did wrong by asking him a question. I think the stress from day one cause me the complications. I should not have had to deal with being told I did not have a driver and they did not know if they could find me one after paying for the recovery house. Felt Like maybe no one should have told me that Justin refused to drive me. When you pay an employee, they don't make decision as to what they are going to do or going to refuse to do, especially when its as simple as driving someone and answering simple questions. I had to stay longer because of complications and ended up leaving the recovery house and staying in a nice hotel (hampton inn) Larry's wife recommended this place and they spoiled me when arrived. I loved it..The breakfast, although I was not that hungry, was the best part.. They had everything on the bar and it was free. Alos, I must give props to Dr. Salama's RN at the surgical site, I do not know her name but she is an example of exemplary nursing care.
Finally the office staff whom you will deal with the most where nice in the beginning. I dealt with Cynthia Perez the majority of the time and she has a understanding mannerism, but in my last several days in Florida, I felt I was neglected by all the office personnel. They need to use empathy with patients that travel from other states and have issues such as mine occur, we need more attention. Especially when your family is 14-16 hours away. Another complaint was with Naomi whom refused to see me after leaving the recovery house, and it was closer for her to travel to the Hampton Inn which is right beside the surgical center, they called me to sign some form and insisted I come to the office, I was very sick and in a lot of pain, felt like if it was that urgent I could sign via FAX. Truth is the most support I received from the entire trip was from Dr. Salama, his nurse (RN), Larry and his wife..He is older and a complete gentleman, he is one awesome driver, he does not test while driving, unlike Justin whom does....He plays Jazz music and it is very relaxing. Loved Larry. I have since talked with Cynthia about some payment issues, and funds that were not refunded on my Master card and she has been very supportive, and helpful with resolving those issues. Overall, I would do it again but I would change some things..LOL!!!!!!!!!!! No stress....first of all.....Don't get left at airport for over an hour without a text..After you have paid for a driver all ready....Don't change your mind if you want the BBL do it....Tummy tuck is a major Surgery...MAJOR, I know this to.. Uhh......I will post pics in the next several weeks...
Breast Augmentation: My breast look awesome. I have some scars that may resolve, they still have swelling. I had no issues with my breast after surgery. I was told that I had a 30-40 present chance I would loss sensation to my nipples and I have no sensation to the left nipple. I will follow up in 4 weeks.
