So today I went in and had my engagers taken off and got my retainer. He told me to wear my retainer all day every day for the first month and then I can switch to just nights. He also gave me 3 sample trays of opalescence 10% so that I can whiten. The pictures here are after doing one 30 minute whitening session.
I finished with 4D on 5/2 and my retainers were ordered. I had to wear that last tray for a total of 5 weeks because I had to wait for my retainers to come in. So my recommendation is that you take extra good care of your last set of trays because you might have to wear it for much longer.
I go back to the dentist in a month for a follow up. Then I'm going to see what he recommends in terms of my chipped tooth, which is slightly shorter than the rest. I might do bonding or a laminate depending on price and what's going to look best.
Overall I love the outcome. It feels amazing to finally have straight teeth :)

Has anyone pursued professional whitening after they were done? I'm curious about how much it costs. Also my orthodontist hasn't told me yet how the retainers work... How often do you have to wear them? Thanks!
