So, I'll have just celebrated my 28th birthday by the time sx comes along. Number 1 comment i get from others when i tell them my plans is " but you havent had kids yet" Yeaaaa but ive gained so much weight (155 about 6years ago to 240 now) that my body could use it especially after some expected (mostly hoped for at this point) weight loss. And honestly (hope i dnt offend anyone) i love children, just dont want any of my own. But im also realistic enough to know i cant predict the future...i feel like this post is all over the place lol...HELP!! I know ultimately its my choice no matter what just feeling more confused the closer my date gets.

If your BMI is over 30, you run some very significant risks post-op...so much a that most board-certified Plastic Surgeons will not operate on you. Your risks of infection, dehiscence, necrosis, delayed wound healing, etc. are exponentially increased. It would be a good idea to lose the weight first, and then pursue your PS consult. (Trying to prevent you from paying a big consultation fee and then not being a surgical candidate.) Good luck to you!
My friend had a mommy makeover before kids. She lost over 100 lbs and had all the skin cut off. The only thing is if you do have kids or gain weight your skin is thinner and you skin is more prone to stretch marks. Also, make sure you are at your ideal weight, besides excess skin weight that you can live with because if you lose another 20 lbs of fat or more you will have saggy skin again. I definitely think there is no problem to making yourself happy.
No offense at all in saying you don't want children. I think it's great when people know that up front! Please let us know how your consultation goes.
