I was never comfortable with my facial profile. My nose had a pronounced dorsal hump, droopy undefined tip and overall lack of definition in my nasal bridge. I deferred any plans cosmetic in nature as I was never comfortable with the idea of going under the knife. After years of contemplation I finally decided to get a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation done to restore my facial harmony. After close to 18 months of research and consulting several facial cosmetic surgeons across the United States I decided to go ahead with Dr. Epstein. His reviews and work portfolio exemplified exactly what I was looking for and after an initial consultation I was convinced that I need not look any further. If you look at most of the noses he has worked on, they are extremely refined, elegant and natural looking. He has tremendous experience in the field of rhinoplasty. Dr. Epstein is a true artist who understands perfectly, the refinements associated with aesthetic form as well as the importance of function. After having done such extensive research on his work, I limited my brief to Dr. E to the minimum as I was extremely confident in his capabilities and wanted him to have the liberty to do what he does best; given his vast experience . I only requested for a nose that would suit my facial profile /ethnicity naturally and restore facial balance. I am a week post op and extremely happy with my results, my bridge has been narrowed and is more defined, the bump has been taken down, my tip is elevated with a small super tip break (one of dr E's specialties), my tip is a lot more refined. Overall, I look like a better version of myself and not someone else. I'm still a little swollen and the refinements are yet to be revealed but I can't wait to see how it all unfolds over the next 12 months. I traveled several thousand miles to the United States for the surgery. Landed in Miami a day before the surgery for a final pre-op consult. Dr. E spent time with me before the surgery to run through everything we discussed and prepare me for the next few days. We went through the computer imaging to make sure our goals were aligned. The morning of the surgery I was well taken care off by Dr. E's team of Nurses. They are all so very pleasant, caring, approachable and have excellent bedside manner. Dr. E met with me before the surgery once more, we ran through everything again and he really calmed my nerves. His team of experts made me feel very comfortable prior to going into surgery and even before I knew it, it was all over. I felt no pain at all even immediately after the surgery, just a slight congestion in the nose for the first day and then a little bruising and swelling that subsided by day 5 - everything I had thoroughly researched and was anyway mentally prepared for. I was extremely touched when Dr. E personally checked in with me to see if I was doing ok a day after the surgery. The next few days I followed all the post op instructions, got my cast removed on day 7 and tape removed on day 9 and I was on my way back home on day 10 with a renewed love for myself and immense respect for my Dr. E. The transformation is so tremendous yet so harmonious and natural - I am in awe of his talents and artistry. Rhinoplasty is a complex surgery and Dr. E just makes it seem like a piece of cake. Dr. E has an amazing team that have been working with him for a long time. Right from the initial consult with Dan to the pre-op and post-op care with Cindy, Suzie, Danny and the team - they have all been extremely thorough, professional, helpful and caring. The nose is the most important feature on your face and a millimeter on the nose is sometimes all it takes to make a very dramatic difference. Dr. Epstein is extremely gifted and I would look no further as far as a rhinoplasty is concerned. I am so glad I chose him as my Surgeon.
