Now that my surgery is only 22 days away. I've gone from reading all your great posts to wanting to document my own experience. I'm getting a tummy tuck, breast lift and implant replacement. I had 2 kids post breast implant. I have Dr Stephanie Stover and haven't met her in person yet. I live in New Orleans and my only communication was with my surgery coordinator Anabel. I got most of my impressions from other real selfers that used her. She apparently has a great bedside manner and extremely detail oriented, which makes me excited. (My friend used another doctor in the office and her nipples were uneven and one was larger than the other) My emails with my surgery coordinator were immediate while I was thinking of becoming a client and paying my deposit. I feel it's been really hard to get responses now that it's crunch time. I've had a few emails go unanswered for 7 days now and another hasn't been answered at all. I have some pre surgery questions, and I know they are busy, but it makes me a little worried that I'm not getting them fully answered. I'm willing to just wait and ask the doctor myself but one of the requirements is a breast ultrasound and I have no clue if I need to find someone to do it or if it's included in my surgery. Since I have already paid for nonrefundable airfare ticket, nonrefundable hotel rooms, rental car, time off work and the surgery it's self. I really can't afford to show up in Miami the day before my surgery to find out I can't do the surgery because something wasn't done on my end. Otherwise I'm still fully confident in the physicians quality. Everyone I messaged said she is worth it.

Who did your friend use? if you don't mind me asking. I was going to go through them, but there wasn't too much info on Stover and Ortega was booked til November. So I'm going to Sergio Alverez.

I used Dr. Stover 6 weeks ago and am very pleased. Anabel was my coordinator as well. I did the breast ultrasound in Miami it was $90. Anabel gave me the info. The radiology office is busy but they get your results to dr fast. I did mine on a Friday afternoon and my surgery was first thing on Monday.

Jazzyfla, I have so many questions that maybe you can help with. Are there any pre operation preparations? I'm glad to know I can do the ultrasound before the surgery there. How do I schedule my pre op meet with Dr stover. My surgery is on a Tuesday. I'm supposed to meet them on Monday but not sure how or what to do to make that happen. I really have no info. Maybe I just fell through the cracks and that they are normally very informative. How did you pay? I've asked how to make my final payment several times. I'm not so discouraged that I would try and find someone else. But I would rest easier feeling prepared. Lol

I made my final payment when I met with them for pre-op. I'm sorry I believe I told you I had surgery on a Monday ,but it was a Tuesday. I was in the office the Friday before surgery to do bloodwork and Anabel gave me the script for the ultrasound then. Then I was in again on Monday to pick up my scripts for meds and then they let me know what time to be in the following day for surgery. I did meet with dr stover several times before surgery to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and anticipated. Then I met with her again the morning of my surgery.

Sunset radiology is the radiologist they use I advise to call to make an appointment for when you get into town and have Anabel send you the script so you can get your ultrasound done.

Ok so you didn't need an appointment for your pre surgery meet? You just showed up? Sorry for all the questions. She hasn't returned a single email since and I had to call the office before she sent me my orders for bloodwork.

Got all my questions answered.

Today my surgical coordinator, Anabel, called me. I was able to get all my questions answered and now I feel completely less stressed. I never want to be the pain in the ass client, I'm so laid back its not even funny, but I start to get nervous without information. I know they don't just sit around all day doing nothing, and I'm a business owner too, so I know it's hard to get back immediately. Guess I should have been a little more patient. Lol

NO I agree you should get an answer back ASAP. I have found calling my surgeon is easiest. I am not traveling as far as you are, only about an hour and a half but still, its not down the street so it leaves you uneasy. I am having mine done August 16th!

I am 2 weeks out and starting the prep for a good recovery. I got a lymphatic drain massage, bought arnica and bromine, all of my loose clothing and dos all my bloodwork and medical clearance. I found a great webpage that gives you the ins and outs of how to prepare for surgery and what to avoid to help you recover from anesthesia and the surgery well. I have literally been using it as a guide to prepare and feel it's extremely informative.
