I've always had a huge nose and got named called alot because of it. So before I hit puberty I wanted a nose job. I'm 26 yrs old now and can finally afford it. I did alot of research and read reviews of Dr Stephen Metzinger of Merairie, LA. It's been 3 days so far since surgery, still have bandages on but I call tell I will lovey new nose. I return Weds to get stitches removed.

Before pictures

I have the habit of taking pictures at an angle. Will see if my Dr will give me a copy of the before he took on office when I go back

Reveal day

Wow this was the worst part, getting the splint removed.

Healing nicely

Been 17 days since surgery, I think I'm starting to get raccoon eyes. I'm supposed to be sleeping at a sitting position but that hurts my butt. Right now I kind of look like a baby rat lol. Have a follow up this Monday (3 days). I really can't wait until my tip starts to look like it supposed to. Right now its kinda bulbous, I know I have 12 months or so until I see the true results tho so I'm not going to dwell on it to much. Overall I'm happy with the outcome compared to the before look. But I have been having acne which is very rare for me and not just on the nose..all over my face. Maybe it's all the pills he had me on (antibiotics, pain pills, anti-swelling, nausea pills). Have to do and detox.. I hate taking pills. I will add another pix at 6 weeks hope there's a noticeable difference

Almost 7 weeks

Went to my 6 week check up and I'm healing great. Dr says it looks smaller. But I have to continue to massage my bridge area because of the osteotomies that was performed. Doesn't hurt now like it did before when doing the massages. I'm still cleaning my nose with q tips a few times a day. Sometimes I can smell my nose insides and it stinks. It's hard to describe the smell tho. I was reading other peoples reviews and they said its because of the stitches that's still in there. My acne is also gone.. THANK GOSH. I'm feeling much more confident now then before surgery. Will upload another pix in a few weeks.

Almost 5 months post op

So its been about 5 months since the surgery. At my last Dr visit (almost a month ago), he had me to start massaging the tip. Im supposed to do that for about 3 months, (until my next follow-up) to help the swelling go down. I don't feel like it helps, more than anything I feel it make it look more swollen right afterwards. The tip still doesn't feel like my nose. It isn't numb or anything, it just feels like I'm touching someone else nose because its so hard. As of right now i love the look of my nose but i think the tip is a little big. Of course I won't see the full results 12 months for bridge and 18 months for tip. Hopefully I love the final results and won't have to go again lol

He was amazing, he knew what he was talking about and made me feel at ease. He preformed my rhinoplasty, If I ever need anything I will go to him first and only. His nurses are great. Calls me every day to check on me. Great staff
