I had surgery June 29th, I had a lift with 300cc textured silicone implants placed under muscle. I've been so happy so far, moderate pain, mostly on right side, but manageable. Now I need to know what the heck is happening here! Can anyone help? I was so excited to have this done, and I'm even still very happy with the way it's been going for the past 6 days, but I'm scared of the black area and hoping others have had this happen and can tell me what to do! Thank you!

Call ur doc, could be skin necrosis which is serious (tissue death), hopefully it is just bruising, either way the doc needs to be called- good luck- I would insist on an appointment

Went in, and had a few sutures clipped and was told to use Arnica gel on it and it's just a blister. Is there anything else anyone can recommend I do to take really good care of it so it doesn't get worse? Anyone with same experience?

take arnica tablets too. Don't let the scabs dry out. see your surgeon frequently. good luck

Thank you, I actually have taken the tablets, I'm using the gel, and took your advice and added a little aquafor to the site to keep moist..willing to try anything!

I'm glad it was just a blister. Where you still covering your incisions with gauze while wearing your surgical bra?
July 9, 2015
They removed my gauze abs 2 just used glue, not tape for incisions, and in just using arnica gel, now they said to wear an underwire bra to keep the weight of the implant off the bottom...it's extremely dry skin though, like deep friend chicken skin is how I'd describe it! Advice?

I've never heard of or encountered this issue. However wouldn't it be painful to wear a bra with underwire in your incisions this early after surgery? In your heart of hearts do you think that's your best option? Just sounds so painful? I'm not a doctor by any means but that makes me wonder?
July 9, 2015
Yeah I wondered the same because of my lift incisions, but I feel like if I do everything my surgeon and the staff says they can't put blame on me for not following instructions lol... as of tonight I added aquafor and a breathable cotton bra so I'll update with a pic tomorrow to see if there was any change. Thanks for your comments, it's nice to have someone responding in concern!

Definitely! This is a difficult road to travel. It's always helpful to have someone to talk to that's kinda going through the same thing at the same time. I just hope it does work and you continue to heal so that in a few months all you'll see is beautiful new boobies☺️

Good luck! Glad it's healing!!

From the beginning!

So I'm 3 weeks post op today, so I'm a lot farther along, and have more information to share! I have still been treating the blistered area and seems to be healing, it still irritates me especially against my clothes, but it's going to be fine. I have this crazy movement, especially in my left side every tone I bend or twist, I can feel my implant move! Luckily because of this website I have found that it is common so I'm not going to worry too much yet, and I'll follow up with it at my 6 week appointment if it doesn't go away...it's awful feeling! All of my nerves are definitely firing back up, feels like a lot match on your nipples! Okay so now that I got that all out of the way, the positive: I think for 3 weeks my incisions look awesome! I'm starting scar sheets today so hopefully that will take care of the rest! I think the size is going to be perfect once they settle so I'm really happy that I'm feeling I look as close to natural as I was hoping for, but still a little on the fuller side for my size which is kinda fun:) I am still sore at 3 weeks but bearable with Motrin. I am a hairstylist and only took 10 days off thinking I'd be just fine as I've had 10 surgeries in the past and recovered quickly, but that was the wrong idea! Absolutely if you take any advice from me, take at least 2 full weeks to recover! So painful round brushing, washing, even just coloring and blue drying! Wow, not a good idea and I wish I had known better! So here's my pics up to this point and I'll check back in at my 6 week post!

Looking great! I almost went with Kramer! Are you glad you went with him? I chose someone in Utah!
July 21, 2015
I'm so glad I did, he's a perfectionist and I needed that comfort knowing he would really care about my outcome and recovery with how much work needed done! Did you do well with the traveling? That was my main concern about going to Salt Lake...
July 23, 2015
The traveling SUCKED! But it was over before we new it! I saved 4 grand so it was worth it for me!
July 21, 2015
You look great!!
July 23, 2015
Oh my gosh thank you for saying so!

I am also a hairstylist! I took 17 days off and even with 17 days I felt I could've used another week
July 29, 2015
Yeah it was something awful! I'm 4 weeks post and feeling tons better but I literally cried every night after work my first week and a half back, 10 days was such a bad decision
