WORTH IT
I am 49 years old and I decided it was time I started making some changes the way I look . I have been married for 28 years and my husband is very supported . I found a good doctor near by and made my appointment . I am not in that good of shape but I will tone up after my surgery. I was hoping to see more ladies around my age to talk too who also had this surgery. I did go a size d why not. I am feeling better everyday . Its been 3 days now and I still sleep with a pillow on top of me just to feel safe. Well it feels better too. I am taking it easy as I heal. Its hard not to clean house but I just do the things I can. No matter how old you are I think all ladies should do what ever makes them feel pretty.

Hi there!
Congratulations on your BA! I am 45 years old and by August 11 I'll be able to speak to you about my BA journey, lol! You're right; I don't see many people in our age group who are sharing their BA experiences. I found it interesting that you didn't post any pictures. Would you mind sharing why you did not or if you are going to? I am not comfortable sharing any photos (I'm not even on Facebook), but I'm hoping that I can still help other women by writing my experiences. That being said, please continue to update your posts.

Would you mind sharing what type of implants you were augmented with? Also, did you have a lift? Final question (for now), are you sleeping at a 45 degree angle, and if so, what are you using to prop yourself up?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your quick response. I understand feeling shy about it. I think words are just as powerful (not everyone can see). I hope that you are still refraining from cleaning the house:)

LOL! My PS doesn't think that I'll need a lift, but he said that he'll know once I'm in surgery. I'm looking forward to my breasts "standing at attention [finally]" too. I just realized that you are driving on your third day of recovery. I'm assuming, then, that you have not needed much pain medication. I hope that I won't be in too much pain...

well I did have a bad day..it was so hot where we live and I am still bloated from starting my period I really didn't want To go out but needed kotex... I was frustrated because my boobs had boob sweat and my stitches started to hurt .. I started feeling like everyone was staring at me .. well when they are standing way out there why wouldn't someone stare..lol....I haven't had to take any pain meds since the first and second night and that was only a half at a time. Had to come home and rip everything off and stand under the fan..

Ugh. Being on your period AND scorching heat. I can't imagine how frustrating that most have been (the boob sweat and the painful stitches), and on top of that "feeling" that everyone is staring at you. I put "feeling" in quotations because if you're anything like me, I know that I'm going to think that the whole world is staring at my boobs! And people may be staring, but it could be-and more than likely is-for positive reasons. I hope that you are able to cool down a little and rest. I'm in Georgia, so good night and I hope that you get a good night's rest.

I also put a pillow on top of me ,,I have two cats in the house and I am just afraid that my bell will jump on my chest.. she jumps over my stomach until I tell her to leave ..and she does..

What a great age to get your surgery! Even though you're not quite 50, feel free to comment on this forum for members in their 50's getting BAs. They're a fun and supportive group of women!
