For many years I have wanted to get a tummy tuck for the most part I would jokingly say I was getting one. It wasn't until this past year that I became very serious about having this procedure done, so I began to research doctors in and out of town. I read dozens of testimonials and sent my pictures to doctors in Ca. In November 2015 i began....

Day three I was feeling nauseous and had a severe headache that lasted all day! From what I researched the headache was most likely due to side effects from the anesthesia and or pain meds. On the third night post operative I took an extra strength Tylenol before falling asleep and woke up around 4 am drenched in sweat and feeling 99 times better. I am thinking my body got rid of whatever was making me feel so horrible through sweat, hmm...well not sure but I'm feeling well now.
I noticed many errors in my intro I probably shouldn't have written it on my worst day pre op.
Making the decision to get a tummy tuck was not easy as I worried and wondered if it'd be worth it. I worried about dying during surgery and having major complications. Now that I've made it to the flat side I feel relieved and cannot believe i actually did it!
I still don't know if it's worth it since I havent seen my tummy yet. Honestly I haven't felt brave enough to even look as I was focusing on getting through the first few days. Now, I'm waiting for the stitches and second and final drain to come out this afternoon. Yay! On a side note I have not had much drainage so I had the first pulled out on the 14th or 3 days post along w a few stitches. Yes, my surgeon saw me on Sunday afternoon to take care of it. I'm super hunched over and using a walker to reduce the strain on my lower back. I read somewhere on this site that it's best to wait 10 days before attempting to stand straighter so as to not put tension on the incision.
It's post op day 5 and in much need of a shower and a blow out. I hope I can get both this afternoon.

I'm loving my new tummy. So far having this surgery has been worth it. My back is uncomfortable from sleeping on the recliner thus putting pressure on the areas where the Lipo was done. I also have pain in my lower back due to not walking upright. I'm still using the walker and I am hoping I can walk straight up soon.
Doctor Hensley has been wonderful. I am very satisfied with the post operative care I have received from him as he saw me even during his scheduled time off, weekends and holidays. He has been caring and very professional. I really liked him from day one and am glad I chose him. Dr. Hensley reminds of the actor Michael Douglas as they look alike and even sound alike LOL.
I don't have any new pictures but will try to get some soon.
