Sub-mental Chin Liposuction

WORTH IT$2,500
1 week away from sub-mental liposuction for my double chin! Looking forward to seeing a jawline again! I decided on lipo versus Kybella, which has a longer wait time to see results. Any suggestions for pre and post surgery tips would be welcome.

Post surgery be prepared to drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated and soft foods for 1-2 weeks. I definitely needed pain medicine the first 4days. Your neck will be feeling very tight. Lots of swelling is expected usually.

How are you now? Did you have any hard places under your chin?
June 3, 2019
Yes I definitely did and I did a lot of messaging. I was told to put heat on the hard areas be careful not to burn as areas are still numb. And they did soften up. I still have a very little bit that I’m working on. My procedure was April 17th.

I got the chin lipo and neck muscle tightening (submental tuck or also known as platysmaplasty).

I just had the procedure last Wednesday. . Compression strap is the most important thing in recovery - wear continuously for 48 hours and as often as possible thereafter. I had no limitations on eating - I ate anything. My bruising was pretty significant because I bruise easily. I used only 5 of the 20 hydrocodone prescribed. I just had my follow up visit with my doc and a week after the procedure, most all bruising is gone and I am pleased with results so for. Physician said total healing time is about four months.

Only where the incision is. Everyone heals differently. I use a scar gel and massage that are each night.

Hey, you are looking good. I am in Birmingham also and was wondering who was your surgeon? Maybe I missed it somewhere, but all I saw was your reference to Dr. C. Thanks!

Surgery day
We had to be at the doctors office at 7:30. They immediately took me back and went over release forms and I changed into a gown. Dr. C then came in and marked my neck. The anesthesia started my IV and went over sedation. The next thing I remember was waking up with no pain and my head wrapped up like a mummy. We were on our way home at 9:30. I was given a prescription for nausea, pain meds and an antibiotic. I have not had much pain. I have used an ice pack on my neck in and off to hopefully decrease swelling. I go back to my PS in the morning to have the wrap taken off and see my new neck!
Just got back from post-op visit and I’m pleased with the results so far. No pain at all, only soreness to the front of my neck.

Who is dr. C? How many times have I seen this when people leave out the doctor's name or just put a letter for the name. I think it would be logical if a person really did have the procedure and the results were real they should post a doctor's name.
