1 week pre-op pics. I've always been very fit and health conscious. However, no matter how clean I eat and how much I exercise, my abs are no longer flat after having two children. I carried both pregnancies very far forward and the muscle stretching resulted in a diastasis recti. The pictures I'm posting are 1 week prior to full TT with flank lipo.

Can't wait to see your after pics. I am 37, had 3 children and have a similar body type. Planning on scheduling my procedure for April and I would love to hear about your journey. I think it'll look great.

I plan to keep a good record of pictures and document my experience recovering. I've really found this site to be worthwhile and I think it's important to contribute. Please keep us updated on your surgical plans!

I'm right with ya sister. As I sit here on the couch I'm thinking this time next week I'll be in recovery. Totally excited and scared but ready. You are going to look great. We can recover together

Excited and scared definitely sums up my feelings, too, right now. It will be nice to share this experience with someone in literally the same boat!

Same here. I'm guessing 2ish. Its a hour drive home. I'm giving a couple hours for recovery and discharge.

Luckily my drive home will be 10 minutes at most. I do plan to have a vomit bucket in the car just in case. I had general anesthesia with my BA and threw up after the car ride. Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst!!

That's a good idea. I'm not sure how I will respond. My only surgery was when I was 15 and I only threw up because I a cheeseburger to soon after. Lol. Not counting my 2 c sections, only nauseous during not after.

We have very similar bellies! I also had two csecs. Having my tt is one of the best things I've ever done for myself! I would do it again in a heartbeat! Can't wait to follow your progress! You're gonna do great!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! Ready for Friday!!! Because you've had both, I must ask: c-section vs TT.....which is worse??
User Avatar

My first csec was emergency... so some pain after not to bad. My second was scheduled and was horrible! No one ever told me they take the baby but then you still have labor to get everything to contact back down! That was 10xs more painful than this tt. I had the Exparel shot which made everything numb for abt 3-4 days after. The muscle repair just felt super tight but no pain for me. TT was cake compared to my 2nd csec. I still took my pain meds from day one but by 4 days post I was on reg Tylenol

Mine was the exact same- labored for a full day but never progressed, thus the c-section. The second was elective csec and I noticed I felt way more pain in my back afterward (than the first) and now I know why!! My dr never mentioned Exparel but I've been in contact with a girl who just had TT with lipo from my same doctor and she said the recovery hasn't beenbad at all. Maybe she had it. Hoping so

In exactly 24 hours, I will be waking up to go to the surgery center. Of course last night we got an inch of ice and 4 inches of snow, so the roads are scary at best. Driving on ice really seems to ease my nerves :)
