Im 39 years old, will be 40 this year and I have been pondering my brain trying to figure out how to celebrate my 40th birthday. I definitely believe in birthday celebrations my birthday, kids birthdays, hubby and everyone close to me it's a really big deal. I met with party planners, called venues, and nothing just seemed to excite me. After talking with my girlfriend who had just had a tummy tuck a light bulb went off in my head! That's it! That's what I want for my birthday! A tummy tuck! I always have a parties, in fact I had one last year! I want to do something for me. Something meaningful and this is what I always wanted. So I made my appointment, had my consultation and my date is 4/13/15. I'm excited and nervous. 2 years ago I had smart lipo on my abs and let me say, $4200 and it was a waste of time and money. After 2 years, although I'm much better than I was yet I just was not a good candidate for it. I don't knock it, if you have a small pudge, then that's the way to go. But for me after 3 c sections I needed way more than lipo. So I'm a week away and plan to document my journey to the flat side (flat tummy)! I'm getting tummy tuck, lipo on hips and flanks! A whole new body! Here are my before pics! Wish me luck!

In 3 hours my surgery will start. I have 3 kids and I have been busy washing, ironing, and preparing myself for the last 3 days. I have a bit of anxiety but I'm ready. I have to be at the surgery center in 2 hours. I can't wait but I'm not looking forward to the healing process. But nothing worth having is easy. Here are the last pics I took this morning. I had to take one last time, one to convince myself I need this and the other to say good bye to my old body. Pray for me!

Dr. Quigley is the best! My friend works with her in the operating room. After the surgery she said that Dr. Quigley really took her time to couture my body. She called me twice day 1 and day 2 to check on me. She was really great! I love my results. I would highly recommend her!

Surgery went well. I was put to sleep and when I woke up it was over. I haven't been in a lot of pain. I've only taken 2 pain pills. No problems at all. Just a little uncomfortable. I still have my drains and will probably get them out on Monday. Dr. Quigley was awesome, she really did a good job and has called me twice to check on me since Monday. My body looks awesome even with the swelling. I can only imagine what it will be like in a week or two. I will keep you updated. I'm too sore to take a lot of pics now.
