I am 42 years old. I have super oily skin and I have been battling acne since I was a teenager. I'm tired of it! I also have visible oil glands so I hope this medication will help with that as well. I also hope that my shiny face will stop being so shiny. I look like I splash my face with vegetable oil a few hours after I wake up in the mornings.

I'm on day 3 of treatment. My face is breaking out more, but that may be because they told me to stop my topical meds while on this. It feels weird, not applying something to my face at night. I'm using this review to chronicle my results. Fingers crossed!

Hi! Don't get discouraged it's too early!!!! You will see in a few weeks that your skin will improve!!!! I used Accutane last Feb. for 6 months. I'm 43 & just like you had acne since being a teenager. I can totally relate with the oily skin!!! I didn't do a review on my acne

You will be so very happy you finally got this medicine. It is truly wonderful! I had the oily skin you are talking about that no one else seem to understand. This is the only medicine out there that can and will normalize your oil production. Yes, it will feel odd not doing all of the oil control things you are used to. I would even rise with the ac blowing in my face to help keep down oil production and every time I went in a bathroom I would always blot my face with tissue to remove excess oil. Be ready, you will have very dry lips and you will need to load on moisturizer and sunscreen. You skin will be extremely sensitive to the sun, even with heavy sunscreen on. No worries, it will all be worth it!! Good for you!!

Initial breakout

Female40's
I'm on day 11 of treatment and I am definitely in the thick of the initial breakout. They are painful and red. They are mostly around my nose and mouth. I started on prednisone yesterday to help with this. My face is still really oily. Not giving up though. I have makeup on in this pic so it looks better than it is.
