WORTH IT
Surgery undertaken in May. I feel like four to five months later I’ve got my full result but apparently this can continue to settle up to 12 months.. Interesting. Pretty happy as is. I’ve honestly forgotten I’ve had anything done. It’s just business as usual now, with a touch more confidence about me.

A Subtle and Natural Refinement - Life Changing Stuff
My entire experience from start to finish with this Doctor was absolutely seamless. From my initial consult - to the actual procedure - to my follow up appointments, I felt completely comfortable and knew I was in trustworthy and highly competent and capable hands.
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty was something I had contemplated undergoing for years but the fear of disappointment and facial distortion always held me back but I now resent that I sat on it for so long because this has been a total game changer for me and my self esteem. My mother is of Asian heritage and father bulkan, so my eyelids had a mind of their own; some days even, some days mismatched and completely uneven. More and more people started to comment on my ‘tired’ or ‘sad’ face and that’s when it began to sit in the forefront of my mind gradually building me a nice little complex. I began to wear more makeup to disguise the asymmetry and to look fresher, and at 30, that’s too young to already be feeling like that. Makes me sad now thinking back to it.
So I decided it’s time. I did extensive research because when it comes to matters of the face, or any part of your body you simply cannot afford to mess around, cut corners or find a cheaper option because you absolutely get what you pay for.
When I came across this clinic and the cohort of professional surgeons, I instinctively felt to ride with it. My procedure was undertaken by Oculoplastic surgeon, Ben Burt who was paired with a divine assistant by the name of Mary who held my hand the whole way through. On the day, I was given the utmost care and attention second after second. It took an hour in the clinic operating room, it was pain free, went extremely smooth and was over before I knew it, honestly. We chatted and laughed at my dumb stories the whole way through (great distraction method on their part) and I was good to walk out the door immediately to my carer and went home to rest up. Recovery was easy - frozen peas lived on my face intermittently for days in attempt to help minimise bruising and swelling etc. I had a speedy and painless recovery. My stitches were out in 7 days and I was back at work by day 9. Not one person has picked it to this day but people are quick to notice a subtle difference and freshness in my face and ask what I’ve done. I blantantly life about changing the curl of my lashes or wearing less eye makeup etc. I love that such a tiny and careful extraction of skin to a fold has made all the difference to my world without subtracting my ethnicity.
I am sharing detailed and honest feedback about my experience because I found this type of information lacked when I was in need of it.

Your Dr. did a great job. Can you please advise the cost of the procedure?
Thanks so much! About the $6,000 mark, all inclusive.
This is amazing! Thank you so much, have been so scared looking for a surgeon after an eye injury years again and have discovered this Dr from your review.
SO glad this helped you. There’s a serious deficit of information and reviews out there. Good luck and all the best with your journey. Just have a consultation and if it feels right - then it probably is
You look great would love to see more photos
Also, who do you see for Botox and fillers in melb? I'm looking for a good injector. Thanks x
Thanks for your review-very reassuring. Your results are great. Hope you are continuing to recover well. My appt with Dr Burt is next month. Fingers crossed!
Thank you :)) I’m really pleased that my experience provides you some level of comfort. You won’t look back, I promise. You’ve made a good choice with Ben Burt. I’ve fully recovered without a single issue. You can trust you’re in great hands. Best wishes for you in your journey.
Hi there, I've had an upper blepharoplasty done about a month ago and I', still not sure how I feel about the results. The doctor left my stitches in for 15 days and i currently still have scars from where the stitches were. My eyes also seem a little off centered and my lash-line seems a little off as well. How long does it take to actually see final results? Right now I have to keep my glasses on to hide the scars and I don't feel comfortable going without them.
I assure you, I went through the same emotions/thought process where I had doubt about everything too - I think it’s a completely normal psychological stage of any surgery process. Yes, I had a pretty cruisey time with things and liked what I saw after a couple of weeks but don’t be discouraged if you don’t just yet. For me, one eye healed at a slightly different rate to the other and the stitch lines were also still visible after a month, and if I observed hard enough I would’ve been able to fault things but I knew it’s too early to make assessment. It helped that I have lash extensions, which somewhat disguised things and I wore a light brown shadow when I felt it was safe to do so. Try relax and trust in the process and your surgeon. If in another month you’re still not comfortable then seek a professional opinion. Here if you have any other questions. Good luck!
Thank you so much and I really appreciate your response. I will take your advice and I will give it more time and try to get use to how my eyes look for now. I do have doubts but will give it some more time to heal to see some real results.
