Great to see that you're feeling better and up and about!
Slowly goes it though Chrissy, it’s like you have a good day then go backwards a little. When is your surgery?
As they say, time is our friend. By Christmas you'll be jumping hurdles :-) Are you happy with results thus far? I haven't booked surgery as yet Angela because I'd like to do it during winter. I have a few commitments this year which require me to be quite active and mobile Will book a consult with Dr Carmen soon tho to get her opinion on things..
That’s the reason I had it done in June also. I am happy but extremely frustrated with pain, swelling, lack of mobility and my sudden loss of fitness. To be expected.! I just finished my second beach walk and increased by 500m in same time from Saturday and have started doing lymphatic massage to my legs,, that has helped too. I have a ski trip booked in 6 weeks. I will either make it or I won’t but I have to say once swelling goes I will see the excellent work Carmen has done. I go back to Melbourne Friday to see her.
I'm having a consult with Dr Carmen in July :-)) woop woop!
Hi Angela, almost a month after your surgery! How are you feeling? How are the incisions healing? Is there still swelling?
Swelling is quite bad actually in legs and I had an incision split in my back and have a wound that needs attention from gp every 2 days. So a big setback this week. It’s a slower recovery for me than I expected.
So sorry about the setback Angela. Take it very easy. Rest as much as possible. Pineapple is a great anti inflammatory and no salt for the time being, but i'm sure you already know this. Time and patience are our friends in these situations.
Hi Angela, Hope you've healed well. Is there still swelling? How are incisions? Can you post pics?

Wow!! Dr Carmen's done a great job! My legs look similar to your before pic. You must be ecstatic!! May I ask Angela was the cost $14,313 all inclusive of anaesthetist, hospital, Dr Munteanu's fees etc?
You can email me and I’ll give you all details
Thank you for the details Angela. How's your experience been thus far, and how's your mobility?
Hi Angela, haven't heard from you in a while, hoping all is well and you're healing well. Post soon, if you can. Best wishes.

Day 6 post op

I have been out of hospital 2 days now and at a hotel. I am constantly wearing compression garments and taking my painkillers on time and getting plenty of sleep. I have not ventured out as want to heal. Incisions are clean and tight. Leg swelling is still evident, ice and compression are crucial.Below are my pics Day 6

Looking good Angela! Go you!! Sounds like you've got everything covered. On a scale of 1 - 10 how's your pain? Hope you have someone with you to assist and keep you company. I live in Melbourne so if you need somebody to talk to or if I can help in any way, email me.
Were incisions closed using staples or stitched?
Keep healing well honey
Hi Chrissy, my pain is well controlled but it does affect your judgement etc. my daughter is here and I fly home tomorrow night . Thanks so much for your offer so kind Are you thinking of surgery?
I was stitched and glued
Hi Angela, hadn't seen your messages from 12 June, they didn't show up for some reason. It's lovely that you had your daughter with you and you're most likely in the comfort of your own home now. Hope the flight wasn't too difficult for you. Yes yes I definitely am thinking of surgery! Hmm now how to find your email, thought it came up with profile...I'll send you a direct message through Real Self.
Are you back scars considerably higher? I just had this done and honestly was shocked at how high the scars go on either butt cheek...
I’m not sure if you can tell by photos but I’m not too concerned. I’d much rather have no bum roll than worry about a scar that will eventually fade to a thin white line.
