I was originally a B cup.
I went to Thailand PIAC in 2011 for a breast augmentation and got Dual Plane Mentor Round Textured 300cc Mod. (I asked for completely under the muscle and he agreed then later told me he did dual plane!)
In 2004 I discovered a large lump at the top of my breast and was shocked! I straight away booked in for an ultrasound and MRI. It ended up being a rupture but the MRI report writing Dr's didn't even pick it up! Thank god I had a really good radiographer who worked really hard to find all the lumps and discovered 2 more! I contacted PIAC and then went back this year in January 2015 for removal and have both replaced with saline (Mentor HP Round Smooth L410cc R380cc) as I read of the dangers associated with silicone implants and the toxic chemicals in them! The surgeon at PIAC replaced the implants and removed some of the large lump. After my surgery he came in to check up on me and I just wanted to confirm with him that he also did a full capsulectomy as it is VERY important to do one as there are always micro particles of silicone in that skin that forms around the capsules that your implant has leeched out over time, especially if there was a rupture! he said he cleaned out the cavity and removed the free silicone to the 'best of his ability' I was in total shock and asked why he didn't and he said it was very thin and looked 'healthy'.
As soon as I got back home to Melbourne, Australia. I went back to my awesome radiographer and he discovered that the lumps were still there and only about 80% of the large lump was removed! I did ALOT of research and wanted to find the perfect Surgeon with alot of experience in capsulectomy. I decided to go with Dr Hamish Farrow. I also decided to get my new Saline implants removed as I did further research and discovered implants weaken your immune system and a whole lot of other things like brain fog, feeling tired and achy joints which I had! I was really scared about what my breasts were going to look like as they were pretty stretched out from my implants! Dr Farrow told me he was not going to put drains in so my body will create natural water implants in the cavity to fill my breasts out. I had my surgery last week and I just had my follow up with him today. My breasts actually look better now than they did before implants! and the little water 'implants' my body has made really filled them up! Dr Farrow told me he had to stich some on my pec muscle on the ruptured side as it was damaged from my previous surgery and just left! He also managed to get all my little lumps of silicone out with a full capsulectomy and said he found all the silicone within the cavity! (The PIAC surgeon lied and said there wasn't any) I believe he lied because it's extra work for him! I contacted PIAC and told them I was going to take them to court and emailed all my medical proof. I managed to get a full refund of my previous surgery in January. I hope anyone who is wanting to get implants to really research about all the pros and cons and if you can't afford an amazing surgeon like Dr Hamish Farrow, do not go to a cheaper place! I lost months of sleepless nights thinking how could I be so stupid?!?! and for anyone with implant problems in Australia, I recommend Dr Farrow he is truly amazing!

Wait- what are "water implants"? This sounds very strange- my PS said the tissues surrounding the pocket that the implant was in must join together or you get a seroma? And that is why drains are used? I'm confused! Does the water supposedly get absorbed?

The water pockets I'm referring to is a Seroma.

Really? "Natural Water Implants"?? Is this PS insane?! I'm sorry, but what is happening is a seroma is forming inside your breasts & this should NOT be ignored! They need to be drained or else you risk infection and horrible illness. And this PS just wants to do nothing about it & treat it like it's normal?? Please, please see another PS and do NOT believe your PS when he says they are harmless "natural water implants". It's fluid & could put your life in serious danger if not treated.

I had a seroma on one side before my implant removal and it was awful. For four weeks I was miserable, feverish, no appetite, and taking antibiotics. Your body will try to make a capsule around the Seroma and if not treated properly, it will need to be removed. I had drains placed for 6 days following surgery to prevent a new seroma from forming. My PS had me doing absolutely nothing for 6 weeks and wearing only compression bras to lessen the liklihood of another seroma. I had capsules removed. You do not want "water implants," it was not fun.

I totally understand what you are saying and I had the option of having drains put in but he said it would look much nicer if I let the seroma (water implant) form. I was obviously concerned as I know seromas are a bad thing! but he said that having a seroma around a implant is a different story and that it is totally safe. I googled about dangers of having this and I can't find anything! Is there any info you guys can share with me as I am abit worried now!
