Hamish was able to provide an astounding result removing tissue and rebuilding both breasts. Minimal scarring, amazing support. He exceeded all of my expectations with an outstanding outcome. The surgery itself was as explained, and post operative assistance is amazing. I thoroughly recommend Hamish.
Hamish Farrow is by far the best plastic surgeon around, after many, many years researching and meeting with other well known plastic surgeons I never felt comfortable with them. The moment I went to see Hamish I knew he was the one I wanted to do my breast reduction/lift he was calming, reassuring and explained every detail. I only wish I found him years ago. I'm still recovering but I'm beyond pleased with it so far. 10/10 and such a beautiful man.
I was originally a B cup. I went to Thailand PIAC in 2011 for a breast augmentation and got Dual Plane Mentor Round Textured 300cc Mod. (I asked for completely under the muscle and he agreed then later told me he did dual plane!) In 2004 I discovered a large lump at the top of my breast and was shocked! I straight away booked in for an ultrasound and MRI. It ended up being a rupture but the MRI report writing Dr's didn't even pick it up! Thank god I had a really good radiographer who worked really hard to find all the lumps and discovered 2 more! I contacted PIAC and then went back this year in January 2015 for removal and have both replaced with saline (Mentor HP Round Smooth L410cc R380cc) as I read of the dangers associated with silicone implants and the toxic chemicals in them! The surgeon at PIAC replaced the implants and removed some of the large lump. After my surgery he came in to check up on me and I just wanted to confirm with him that he also did a full capsulectomy as it is VERY important to do one as there are always micro particles of silicone in that skin that forms around the capsules that your implant has leeched out over time, especially if there was a rupture! he said he cleaned out the cavity and removed the free silicone to the 'best of his ability' I was in total shock and asked why he didn't and he said it was very thin and looked 'healthy'. As soon as I got back home to Melbourne, Australia. I went back to my awesome radiographer and he discovered that the lumps were still there and only about 80% of the large lump was removed! I did ALOT of research and wanted to find the perfect Surgeon with alot of experience in capsulectomy. I decided to go with Dr Hamish Farrow. I also decided to get my new Saline implants removed as I did further research and discovered implants weaken your immune system and a whole lot of other things like brain fog, feeling tired and achy joints which I had! I was really scared about what my breasts were going to look like as they were pretty stretched out from my implants! Dr Farrow told me he was not going to put drains in so my body will create natural water implants in the cavity to fill my breasts out. I had my surgery last week and I just had my follow up with him today. My breasts actually look better now than they did before implants! and the little water 'implants' my body has made really filled them up! Dr Farrow told me he had to stich some on my pec muscle on the ruptured side as it was damaged from my previous surgery and just left! He also managed to get all my little lumps of silicone out with a full capsulectomy and said he found all the silicone within the cavity! (The PIAC surgeon lied and said there wasn't any) I believe he lied because it's extra work for him! I contacted PIAC and told them I was going to take them to court and emailed all my medical proof. I managed to get a full refund of my previous surgery in January. I hope anyone who is wanting to get implants to really research about all the pros and cons and if you can't afford an amazing surgeon like Dr Hamish Farrow, do not go to a cheaper place! I lost months of sleepless nights thinking how could I be so stupid?!?! and for anyone with implant problems in Australia, I recommend Dr Farrow he is truly amazing!
Hi girls! My name is Lisa, im 24years old! I'm from Victoria, Australia. I've been dreaming if having boobies for at least 8 years! Well here I am surgery completed! I'll take a step back & tell you my reasons for wanting this surgery. I have always had an almost flat chest, I've never felt womanly, I have always wore a b cup mega padded bra with chicken fillets as well! I have recently broke up with my boyfriend of nearly 6 years, I think I would have let him acturly touch/feel my boobs less than 5 times, so confidence is a major issue! I have never wore a bathing suit in public! Ever! Anyway enough of that.. To my surgery story. I had two consults with Hamish Farrow, I found him great, so I booked with 2 months after my first consult. Getting to the hospital... Was a task in itself, as mentioned I had recently split with my long term boyfriend. My family lives about 4 hours from me & I didn't tell my mum & Dad till the day before surgery! Long story short, my friends 17 year old daughter & her friend bought me for the 2 hour drive. They dropped me off at 11.20am & they had left by 11.30am... I have never had an operation of any type until today. I was an emotional wreck.. I just cryed & cryed intill I was put on the surgical fable at about 1.30. I remember the lovely nurses rubbing my leg & makeung small talk, then in what seemed like no time at all I awoke in recovery. I was shaking & a little cold. Could feel burning in my breasts, but this was quiclky resolved. I ate an icy pole & hot taken to my room. I felt really good & felt silly for being so frightened! I ate my tea, had my cousin & her Boy visit which was amazing, this girl is like my sister & we hadn't seen each other in about 5 years! The nurses were checking my stats & boobs every 1/2 hour. I think they look small! Will add a pic, can anyone predict a bra size?? By 8pm I ended up with a bleed in my left breast, that meant in came Hamish & off to theatre i went again! My nightmare came true! But here I am, with both implants still, feeling sore, but would go through it again, not to bad at all! Will try & upload before & afters. Will update tomorrow Lisa [RS bleep] Updated on 10 Apr 2013: Just thought I'd update. I'm home now, I've had 2 panadene forte & feeling okay. A bit tender bug not bad. Maybe I'm being greedy.. But I put a top on & I feel & look smaller than I did in a padded bra!? I hope they end up looking bigger :/ Updated on 11 Apr 2013: A couple of pics after first shower! Updated on 12 Apr 2013: Hi Ladies, Thankyou for all of your support! It really means a lot! Just thought I'd give another update, Today is day 3. I had a sore day yesterday, just a couple of pain killers. I'm feeling swollen & bloated, even more so today, but my breasts are a little softer to touch even though they feel tighter & more swollen if that makes any sense! I've just been lazing around the house, drinking cups if tea & walking around. They aren't very big, but geez they feel heavy! Shower yesterday, was quite hard, I don't look forward to pulling this compression bra over my head! Will update with some pics later today! Lisa xx Updated on 13 Apr 2013: Day 4 - pics. My lefty has dropped more than my right! My nipples are also un even :/ But I feel like my self again today! Yay! Can I please have honest opinions from you ladies?! Are they going to look okay? I certainly can't say I'm in love.. Updated on 17 Apr 2013: Day 6 - I have my PO appointment tomorrow! I went back to work & driving yesterday, I am feeling 90%, yay! Of course the girls still feel hard as a rock & I'm sick if sleeping in my back! But overall I feel a lot better! I would do this again in a heartbeat. Will update pics within a few days! Updated on 19 Apr 2013: Hi Ladies :) Okay so I am day 9. Feeling great! I went to two different bra shops & am really happy to say - measuring between 8DD, 10DD & 10 D I know it's too early to say a size & there's still a bit of swelling. The worst thing is they are really hard & I'm worried that I won't ever have any cleavage.. Please reassure me??!! Surely they get softer & u can push them together in some type of bra?! Sorry about the photo quality, I suck at taking pics, but am adding a couple if day 9 pics. Updated on 24 Apr 2013: Hi girls! It's day 15, thought I would check in with an update. I am feeling great & my boobs are good, a little but if discomfort here & there but overall pretty good! My ps cleared me to wear any bra I want, as long as I'm comfortable, I tryed on a push up tonight, have posted a pic :) Just a question though, I was going to wear it out on Friday for a few hours for my bday, I know the surgeon said its fine.. But what are your thoughts? He said I can't ruin anything, I've just read different things & am a little worried I guess.. Updated on 30 Apr 2013: So today is 3 weeks, they are looking a lot better & feeling good aswell! They are getting softer & I can move them now, yay!
Hi Ladies, This forum has been amazing in helping make some important decisions regarding my soon to be gorgeous, voluptuous breasts! I am 24 years old, approximately 170cm tall and currently a B cup. I have always had small breasts but am hoping to achieve a natural fuller breast, more bottom heavy to fill out my lower pole as I have minor sag due to weight loss over the past 4 years. After several Consultations and trying on sizers with my surgeon, I have decided to go with 375-400cc Moderate plus implants - inserted in the inframmamary crease underneath the breast. My surgery is coming up next Tuesday so I will post again soon!
