23 days post surgery and I was back to see Dr Bloom. I have a little bit of redness in one section of my belly that's puzzling so he's happy to see me in a week again just to keep an eye on it (such thorough post operative care!!)
Took some new photos today.... results continue to improve (and I thought they were spectacular at 10days)

It was a delight going in to visit the team at Re Plastic Surgery today.
They girls were lovely as always and seemed to be as excited by my results as I am :)
Dr Bloom was awesome and very pleased how I am healing and how happy I am with my results.
Stitches came out and the tape was replaced. I also got to take photos which I will add comparisons.
This morning at 7am I had some concerns around swelling and being in pain so I send Dr Bloom some photos and a txt message and he responded by phoning me immediately.
He asked if I was still feeling well which I was and he explained that he was not concerned that this was all part of the healing process and that the extra swelling and pain was because I'd been on my feet and walked around yesterday more than usual. Suggested to keep my feet up and go and see him if I was concerned. And to call him immediately if I had any fever, started feeling unwell or the symptoms became significantly worse.

I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY CHOICE TO HAVE CIRCUMFERENTIAL ABDOMINOPLASTY or LOWER BODY LIFT!!!!
After years of yo-yo dieting to lose weight gained from thyroid cancer in my mid 20's.
Plus two c-sections delivering my amazing little boys aged 8 and 6, my 38 yo body was looking more like that of a 58 yo.
Add to that frequently recurring back problems, suspected hernia pain and core weakness caused by diastasis recti, my osteopath was the first person to say to me: "Have you ever thought of having surgery to get your muscles fixed?"
I had no idea I even had a problem with my muscles let alone that surgery could fix them! So I consulted Dr. Google to find out what the osteopath was referring to. My search led me to the real self site and various other social media groups that became my research tools to find out all I could about abdominoplasty.
Making the decision to have the surgery wasn't the most difficult. My research showed me that it was pretty much a win-win. I could fix my medical issues and improve my quality of life while at the same time improving my body's appearance aesthetically.

Hey! I just came across your post and read your story! First off, congratulations on the weight loss and hard work put into accomplishing that! It tough to do! I know!!! Secondly, congratulations on your recent surgery! I hope all is well with you! Your post says 8 days post op! I can't believe how straight you were standing at only 8 days!!! You seem to be recovering really well! Can you tell me what having the backside done was like? What recovery was like? My husband had that done and his results were phenomenal! So it made me think about having it done, too, but I think I'm more of a chicken about it! Please, keep posting! I'd love to see more photos of your healing process as time goes on! There's not too many reviews on here that feature the backside being done. Well, enjoy your new body and happy healing!!! : )
