Mediocre Hair Transplant Waste of Good Money!
I had a hair transplant back in December of 2019. I was very nervous about the procedure because I’ve heard some horror stories before and any cosmetic surgery can be very risky. The surgery was a success in the sense I came out okay and safe. I was somewhat disappointed about the results because I was told I would have a full head of hair or at least a lot thicker than I had before. I did about 2500+ of FUT grafts and I had a little scar at the back of my head. I was prescribed Finasteride for the rest of my life. I was also encouraged to purchase the Capillus laser hat which I did back in June of 2021. I was told that I would have a full head of hair or thicker hair after 24 months after my procedure. I honestly do not feel fully satisfied by the results. I do see some improvement and thickness but it was not the results I was looking for. I honestly feel cheated by the facility and the doctor that did my procedure. I felt like I was lied to. I have been using the Capillus laser hat for 6 months now and I honestly do not feel like I’m reaping the rewards from Capillus either! I pretty much spent $9000 for mediocre results!! It’s quite upsetting. I’m struggling financially and now I feel like I have to start all over to save money to get another procedure which I’m very skeptical about doing since the first time did not go as well as I thought it would. Also, my head itches every night from this procedure to the point where I feel like ripping off my scalp. I was promised that this Harvard educated doctor would do the whole procedure but all he did was draw the hairline outline on my forehead (which I was dissatisfied with as well because I didn’t like his recommended placement). And then he administered the anesthesia and cut out the donor area in the back of the scalp using a FUT strip. I honestly thought he would do the whole procedure by implanting the hairs but he had these technicians implant the hairs instead which upset me, because I was promised he was going to do the whole procedure himself. I just felt cheated. And every time I would text them about my progress I would complain that I do not see the results that I was promised. It just feels like I’m in the same position before the transplant except now with an extremely itchy scalp and a bad scar in the back of my head! So disappointed! As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.
