WORTH IT$3,972
I'm now close to 6 months post op. The swelling still goes and comes but I find applying arnica cream helps. I do find there's some slight asymmetry with my nostrils but it's not noticeable to anyone else unless I look all the way up. Even with the slight asymmetry having this procedure done was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's made my confidence go up and I'm genuinely more happy.

Post Op Check Up/Cast Removal
eva.eva25July 31, 2018
On day 7 I went to Dr.Mejia to have my cast removed. I was really excited/nervous to see how my nose looked under the cast. When he took the cast off and I looked in the mirror for the first time I was honestly astonished lol my jaw literally dropped. My new nose looked amazing and it was exactly what I wanted. After he cleaned my nose it was then taped to reduce the swelling.

Day of Surgery/Days After
eva.eva25July 31, 2018
The day of surgery Ivan accompanied me. I was really nervous but knew I was in good hands. Check in was quick and then I was taken to the back where I was given the surgical gown to change into. Dr.Mejia came by to check on me and the nurse then administered the anesthesia. I knocked out REALLY fast and next thing you know I woke up in the recovery room. I wasn't in any pain after I woke up but my throat was super dry. I was also extremely out of it when I woke up. One thing I did not like is there is not much privacy in the recovery room and you're in the room with other patients. When I had to change out of the surgical gown they wheeled my bed to the corner of the same room. In the moment I didn't care because I was out of it. When I got to the waiting room Ivan and nurse Gloria were there. Gloria is such a sweet heart and I definitely recommend hiring her if you want post op care. She walked to the store and got me soup after we returned to the hotel. After I ate the soup I felt much better. The day of surgery all I really wanted to do was sleep. Something to keep in mind is I honestly felt 0 pain, it's just uncomfortable because you can't breathe through your nose. The swelling that day wasn't really bad either.
Day 2-4 were bad in terms of swelling with day 3 being the worst for me. I recommend not looking in the mirror too much for the first week. I remember second guessing myself a lot during that time because of how bad I looked. I was taking arnica and bromelain from the 1st day and I do feel like it helped with the bruising and swelling.
