I had lost significant weight over the years, and had tons of extra skin, as well as belly fat that would not go away without likely a starvation.

The tummy tuck went very well, painful as expected, and I strongly suggest a recliner and adding a upright relaxation pillow on it, as I didn't have one and I am 6'1 so sitting down was a nightmare!

I still have a dark scar around my belly, it's been about 8 months, it is very noticiable.

I lost another 20 pounds after the surgery, 6 pounds of skin/fat was removed.

I still have extra skin on my sides and back which probably need some correction eventually if exercise doesn't work out.

Overall I have a flat stomach, my pants and shirts fit much better (obviously), and people view me as appearing much taller.

I used Dr. Widder based on reviews on RealSelf, particularly because of what I read about the staff. I found his prices to be much higher than relative doctors, but his experience and the fact he doesn't use drainage tubes convinced me that it was worth it. This is my body, and I wouldn't go for the cheapest when it's something I have to live with the rest of my life. Dr. Widder's staff is great with expection of Lynn. She will try to upsell you on everything, and chances are will insult you and whoever is accompanying you by pointing out more flaws in order to generate more business. I commented this to Dr. Widder after my surgery when she pointed out to my GF that she needed a tummy tuck as well. Well guess what, she had one, but after her first checkup Lynn was pointing out she now needed a chin lift. If you can get past this insulting woman Dr. Widder is a first class doctor, worth every penny, and very professional.
