The scar tissue is slowly starting to ease up a bit. I work on it daily trying to break it down. I've tried and retried the Embrace Active Scar Therapy, even with the Cavilon wipes they just do not work for me. Within the first day I am sore and red and itchy. I left it on this week for 4 days and took it off today due to irritation. I'm hopeful that Dr. Setty can give me a credit since I paid 400$ for this treatment. Perhaps I can use credit for Botox or filler. All in all I am glad I had the surgery and I do hope the look of the scars will fade in time so I won't look so different. But I am grateful to be able to breathe easy and not have he pain in my back from the large implants. Well I think these photos might be upside down, if so I apologize.

You look great! I'm having my implants out and lift done next Wednesday. Super excited! How are your scars healing up? What's helped the most softening them?

Scar Tissue Problems

Although I am feeling much better and scars are healing nicely I have developed very hard scar tissue on the vertical scars on both breasts. It is worse on the right side, and Dr. Setty has me massaging and using heat packs to try and break it up. I also read online that avocado oil helps to break up internal scar tissue. I did order some from Amazon, although I remain doubtful I knew it couldn't hurt to try. Also I had one tiny wound open up underneath where the skin all comes together at the bottom after Dr. Setty worked in removing more of the surgical glue. He had me treat that with bacitracin and a bandaid till healed, which was quickly, maybe three days. All is well in that area now under both breasts. I continue to be able to rejoice in the ability to breathe so without lifting my left breast constantly from the "feeling" of pressure on my heart area.
If any of you lovely ladies could help me with tips for breaking up this hard scar tissue, I'd be most grateful. I have just passed my 3 week mark, so it is still very fresh and tender but I am willing to do whatever it takes. The Dr and I agree it will be very difficult to get a mammogram with tissue this hard. Please help! You've all been great to me, thank you.
As an FYI if you notice the left breast is a bit reddish it is because I was just massaging and trying to break up the scars before I took the photos. Also there is a slight puckering, possibly from that breast being affected more by it. Or is that just me that thinks that? I do have Embrace scar therapy on the. Vertical scars.

You can use Silicone strips designed for scars, worn everyday for at least 16 hours or more per day. Wash the area daily with soap and water, dry completely, put them back on. The silicone strips are washed as well under the tap to remove oils and dirt. Let them dry completely before reapplying. Do this for 3-4 months. This will help flatten and soften the scars. You can stick your strips to your mirror when you are not using them so you don't lose them. "Bio oil" used alone on your scars will help soften them as well, but you can't use it when you are using the silicone strips because they won't allow the strips to stick to your skin if you are oily. You can get medical grade silicone strips from your surgeon or buy them on amazon. I think you look amazing and your results are fantastic! Lovely shape and the incisions look great. xoxoxo <3 :)

The SCAR AWAY brand works great you have to completely healed surgically then follow the instructions. Amazon is the best place to get them. Cheaper than the ones but exactly the same thing as the ones in my surgeons office. They flatten and soften the scars remarkably. For me I will use them after any surgery when my incision is healed they are they're that much benefit

I was nervous taking the compression bra off to see my breasts first time since the explanation and lift. I am pleased, they look just the size I hoped for. Hoping for nice healing of the scars. I did sign up for Enhance scar therapy so with that and some prayers it should all be fine. As it is I'm happy to be free of those heavy implants. I really can't believe it's done. It truly hasn't been as bad pain wise as I thought it would be. I've tried to listen carefully to others and not do too much.
Dr. Setty removed the drains the 9th and said take it easy, no lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk.
I did too much yesterday, even after being forewarned. I'm not feeling well today, very tender. I didn't lift heavy things, I just folded laundry, some other light housekeeping and obviously it was too much.
Most of today has been in bed with breaks of walking in the house and backyard to keep blood clots away. Only broth, applesauce, low salt saltines and water today. But one of my girlfriends who is from New Orleans is dropping a piece of King Cake her husband just brought back last night! Hope to be able to enjoy a bite or two.
Here are latest pics without the drains. I've started using Arnica cream that has vitamins K, C and botanicals and am taking Arnica capsules Dr. Setty gave me. I am slowing down on the Norco, finished the Celebrex, Keflex, and Flexaril.
3 days after surgery I began B6 (250 mg) Omega3fish oil (3,000mg) CoQ10 (200mg) vitamin C (1000mg 3 x daily) Zinc (50mg) and continue the Colace to help me stay regular. I split those up take some in morning and others after dinner. Here are latest photos exactly one week post op.

Omg, your stitching looks amazing! Very artfully done, and I'm very picky about stitch work (it's one of the reasons I love who I picked as a a surgeon). That's a great point about folding laundry, too. I am glad you mentioned that. You look fab!! Happy First Look Day!

Congratulations on your explant
Also yes in answer to one of your above posts my ribs were actually dented by the weight and placing of the implants. Mine always felt tight like an uncomfortable bra you could never remove. Good luck with your future. You sound like a really cheerful happy woman:)

Thank you so much! Sorry I'm late getting back to everyone, it's been a rough time pain wise. Took it slowly past two weeks.
